I am so happy to announce that I'm gonna try my hand at Dr. Greenthumbs Chemdog. I've heard a lot of good reviews, but haven't seen any recent grow journals or ones under the new way of affordable 300 watt LEDS.

Seeds: Feminzied
Pot size: 3.5 gallons
Nutrients: Heavy 16 A&B, Prime, MOAB and Finish
Medium: Soil grow
Light: Galaxy Hydro 300w from Amazon

Goal: 4ozs plant will be grown to 3 feet tall

With that light you can definitely do 3 plants, which I highly recommend. Now you have 1 plant that if something goes wrong with it you are sort of fucked. Always grow 3 in my opinion, that way the odds are in your favor to get 1 winner (3 hopefully) You have a nice young seedling, so plant a another 2 or 3 seeds, if you have them, that way you will cover your ass. Good luck

I've grown for years and NEVER have I ever sprouted more than one seed, because quite frankly I've never killed a plant or had one die one me. But thanks you for the advice

Actual wattage is 140. So he can cover 2x1.25 feet adaquatley. For the Chinese panels you need about 50w per sqft

Chemdawg lo res.jpg his chemdawg is totally awesome..i have kept a clone of it for years..its top of the genepool..

that led will do "ok"....don't expect a miracle but you may get a good finished product ..leds do seem to help promote resin

production,,the cheapo leds do not generally promote fat buds but some people can do ok with them

these are docs chemdawg at 5+ wks flower..done hydroponic..with 3+weeks to go

and a lot of wattage..that is 1/3 of the whole plant with 1kw hs on three sides

Thanks for all the input everyone, that said;

I have been able overcome some of the low wattage issues by making my enclosed area as tight as possible and using lst methods. It's proven to work for me.

Past few grows I am averaging about 4 zips which is plenty for me. If you do the math it's hard to breakaway- $69-79 each panel. I've grown 3 full grows on them. Even at 35 bucks an 8th I've saved over $1,200 each grow with a minimal investment on my part. But I may consider upgrading in the next 18/24 months once I've worn these ones out. We will see

Photo Update!

She suffered quite a bit because I was sick and couldn't tend to the plants on my own. But she's made a speedy recovery. My target date to start flowering is in the next 10 days. She's currently about 10 inches tall but LST'd her and now she's about 5 inches tall. Trying to promote horizontal growth rather than vertical growth

She has tons of short spacing internode growth which I'm super happy about, she has show super recilance in bouncing back. All in all really happy

Some photos from today's feeding. Over the past week the plant has developed about 6 other branches that will each turn into a cola. Once I hit the 10 mark she's going into flower. I've been LSTing her to keep her low to the ground
