Drip Hydro Problem

Hey guys,

This is my second attempt at an indoor hydro drip setup. Im running 2 150w hps lights that are 18 in. above my plants. We also have 2 wall mounted fans and an exhaust fan for air flow.

Im just about 2 weeks into the grow and my sprouts have began to dry at the tips and curl under. Also the temp of the water is around 90 F.

Im sure thats too high but im not sure how to cool the water in our 1 gallon rez.

Any help is much appreciated

90 is way to hot. your going to have probs with bacteria and root rot. mabye put the rez on the ground to cool it down. mabye look into a chiller.

How high is your light/lights you need it 1.5m away from them, they are babies you will be frying them, get the light away from them at the start, have your fan blowing aswell but at the light not the plants they dont need blasted at the start.

Thank for the replies guys,
I moved my 2 150s up and they are now 28 in. away with a temp at a steady 78
PH is 5.9 and im around 400 ppm

My roots are still pretty white but they have spines pretty much down the entire root

Im also noticing some curling and drying in the tips of my leaves.
Could this be a problem with water temp or a nute shortage?

hey ive heard of people adding ice, but you would have to be there everyday to regulate it. Just a thought.

Keep us posted on how they look now you have moved the light up, will take a few days to show signs of improvement, mind get your air turning with a fan etc, they are weeds dont panic and keep it simple, less fuss ok.
