Driving into Lake Charles after Hurricane Laura's destruction

Wind damage was bad, but boy did they dodge the bullet with storm surge. Lots of NW Florida linemen are headed that way. I know we had folks from all over the country here after Micheal.

I’m in Destin right now, I thought our vacation was going to be fucked. We’ve had sporadic heavy rain but really lots of sun and the surf is off the chain :hump:
It rains everyday this time of year. It's the storm that brought you two days of sunshine.

It’s brought double red flags which the life guards have been surprisingly strict about enforcing. Enforcing meaning yelling at you until you come into more shallow water but still it’s been both fun and annoying

The wife came through while I was watching the video. Her comment was the fact they could drive into Lake Charles the morning after made it different from our experience. It was two days before we made it to town, and most of that was in the ditches. But then we have more trees.
