Drying/Curring

I'm few weeks away from my first go at this, i plan on cutting at the soil and hanging by the stalk. I read that his allows the sugars to seep down and make a sweeter smoke, any thoughts? Also should i trim right away or just hang em for a week or two and just let the shade leaves crumble off? I'm going to cure in an air tight ball jar circulating air once a day.

Any thoughts or tips are greatly appreicated, but please note i have patiences and I'm looking for quality, quantity will come in time.

yank em, trim em, hang em (for a week or so), and stick em in a jar for weeaks in the dark (letting air in for an hour a day for the first several days). then woo hoo time 2 smoke. late

once my bro dried(at least tried to)some of his home grown in the microwave and holycrap that was the best idea he ever had.....not. the year before that he used a beef jerky dehydrator
