Jorge Cervantes wrote an article for High Times, about 10 yrs ago, on a type of drain to waste in 2 gal nursery pots that watered from the bottom up, after the clones were well rooted. After they were rooted, the tray they were in was flooded an 1"-1-1/2" deep. When the tray dried up, they watered again. Clear watered every third time.. The mix was perlite/coco, not packed to tight, a few bumps on the bottom to settle it.. I did it a couple years...To many plants, too much work, but it did work... Not the 1g per watt Jorge got in the High Times article. I don't have any pics, but there were some fine ones in High Times...

dtw Drain to waste is the most common system in the world for commercial hydroponic crops larger than lettuce
