Dwc how to grow help

Hi guys. I've done a ton of research and instead of asking the VERY BASIC questions, let me ask some questions that I don't see talked about much about the DWC system.

1. Where to get the PERFECT BINS/TUBS/BUCKETS to use for this system. Any links would be great. It's a bit hard locating the right one.

2. How do you guys change the water when doing a DWC system. I want it to work as simple as possible but I forsee having to pick up the babies out of the water and then change the water and nutes. While you take the babies out of the original tub/bin/bucket, what do you do with them? Soak them in plain water till you clean the bin, then put it back? Do you soak them in nute solution while you clean the bin?

3. PH TESTING - I currently have an aerogarden and I test the PH easily with my PH meter pen by opening the slot they have on the front. With a bucket/bin DWC system, I don't see how I'd be able to dip my pen into the bucket 1 or 2 times a day without damaging the babies??? I'd literally have to pick up the lid each time, disturbing the babies and getting a ton of light in there just to check the PH, to add water, add nutes, etc... Any simple way of alleviating what I see to be the only real pain in the ass...

If these are stupid questions, I apologize...

Thanks,

James

1.totes can be gotten from walmart, kmart, target, home depot, lowes, or anywhere
else basically...perfect pots are 5-18 gallon buckets or totes with a lid
2.if you are not gonna have a recirculating system then just buy an extra tote or
bucket for every site...then just mix nutes in new empty bucket and change lids
3.buy a tri-meter..they can just sit in your nutes and you can read what the temp,
ppm,and ph 24-7..

Hope this helps somewhat...

Thanks for the reply. Just bought some 2 gallon pails for my lowryders. If the aerogarden can handle a couple in 1 gallon, I'm sure 1 plant per 2 gallon tub should be good.

You mentioned a trimeter you keep in the nutes? How do you keep a meter submerged in water for 24/7? Never heard of that. With the aerogarden now, I just open the flap and stick the ph meter pen in there. How would it work this way with the bucket? Just open the bucket and stick my ph meter pen in there?

Thanks for your response

Being new to Hydro I'd like to see as much information as you can stand to type in regards to nuts, which ones to use, which ones NOT to use, ratio and when the ratios should be changed. And last but not least the best priced nuts for your bang?

I have watched & some like this and some like that? Why? How do you know your nuts are correct or not? Other signs besides your plant is killer looking and growing bigger.

Peace!

I use canna because their nute line seems to have everything a plant needs to grow well....as well as being easy to work with....ive never experianced the growth that ive had with canna...for now you could just stick your pen in the bucket...that would work fine...just check it every day

make an extra hole to take samples from to test i have a 10 gal tub with four plants in it check out my gro. i just take the top off and put it on a empty bin(huge oxygen boost for roots) and drag the tub to the bathroom to empty. nutes are like opinions everyone gots different ideas, its best to trial and error. Aim for either Canna, General hydroponics, Humbolt, or advanced nutrients they are all quality procucts also be sure to grab additives and beneficial bacteria if u use the bacteria dnt add h2o2.
