dwc nutrients

just about to start a dwc experiment, im gonna use a clone in rockwool(letting it grow sum roots over the next few day in my propogator). question is should i use nutes in my reservoir straight away and if so at what amount (mls to litres), only 1 plant and i'm using canna vegga a&b
if not straight away then how long before i start?

once it's rooted, then feel free to use 1/4 strenght, once they're established, start whacking it up. mine probably sit for about 2 weeks before they get full strength feed, maybe a little sooner depending on plant and it's growth

cheers tip, should just have asked you on the bloody uk thread. ? how often do i feed them, just once a week when i'm renewing the water? and does 1ml of a and 1ml of b per litre sound about rite?

that sounds good for the first week, like with soil and such, you'll quickly notice if it's too strong or too weak. i aimed at a 1 week maintenance, but i find around 4 days after feeding the EC has risen quite dramatically so i add ph'ed plain water to drop the EC a tad, i sometimes find it sitting at 3.5. other than that though, yeah, i literally just empty the res each week and fill it up with all new stuff.

sounds good mate, havent bought an ec/ppm meter yet but should be gettin one within the next two weeks, plant should be fine i think coz the nutes will be at a low level, just have to keep an eye on it
