DWC post-harvest question

Do people typically reuse the buckets, lids, air stones, clay pellets, and air tubing for the next crop or start over with all new, clean, materials? I'm trying to decide whether to put in the effort to get everything clean or start fresh.

The buckets and lids are easy enough to clean. The clay pellets and air stones look more difficult. The air tubing is already in the trash.

My first grow (3 plants, DWC, LED lighting) is hanging to dry now and I'm cleaning things up.

Thanks.

You can reuse all those, I don't even wash the stuff anymore until maybe after harvest but if you run a sterile res you'll want to clean it if you reuse it

Yeah, literally everything is reusable.
But scrub the buckets, lids & res with warm water.

The perlite is fine, I'd soak them in clean fresh water with an air stone for good measure.

Replace your air lines with new black aquarium lines and you're set to rock & roll again my friend.

Hope this helps.

Change your airstones after every 2 grows. 3 max. The airstones will not work as good if you keep using them, as they get clogged up after awhile and from cleaning them.

Especially if you run bennies.

Take a new stone and put it in a bucket and also a used one from after 2 or 3 grows and compare the difference in bubble action between the two.

I clean and reuse the bucket, lid, hydroton and air and feed lines. The airstones are usually replaced because of root growth-reload and fire.

i clean everything with water and a bit of bleach. good as new.

throwing away everything seems like a big waste of money (unless you use cheap parts like Walmart buckets and stuff).

I throw away medium and air stones.

Hose gets reused after sitting a day in a bleach water solution.

Buckets and lid get a quick wash and rinse. I only replace lids once a bunch of slots become broken from roots and cant hold onto medium any longer.
