DWC res temps

Hey guys,

Just trying to figure out what setup to get... I like the sound of DWC, but I'm worried about reservoir temps...

If the temperature in my cab is 77F, will the res be 77F also? Because from what I've read that is too high. Or do the bubbles cool the res somehow?? Don't want to get a chiller.

Cheers!

I didn't want to get a chiller either. I'm going to be going with Coco next time instead of soil. It may be a little more work but it is simpler than soil or DWC and still has explosive growth potential.

air bubbler is not going to lower the temp, at all. What ever your room temp is; that's what the water is going to be at. I set my chier at close to 20C I think that's like 69f or 70f.

I use two buckets for a single dwc I just change the bucket once a week and I'm good except in mid to late flower when they are thirsty.

When I did DWC I made sure a frozen 2 liter bottle of water was always in the rez to keep the temps down. A pain in the ass but it worked. Along with an air stone of course.
