So my temps are fluctuating a bit, 69-75. i would like to keep it cooler obviously.. i have thrown a frozen water bottle in. my question is, my tent stays about 72, so there isnt a reason for my rez to be reaching 75. i think its because i have a 10" bucket lid. Any recommendations on keeping the temps lower / maybe covering the top of the medium or something? thanks for help in advance, cheers.

i put foil over the tops hoping to prevent the hydroton from getting to hot, but i know foil retains heat so idk how it will react...

no i don't cover medium cover for open bucket just sat there to keep anything from falling in it... lower water temp yes more water takes longer to get over 70

I regulary hit 72 to 75 degrees no probs.
But i have lots of DO. And movement

Dont fret too much on temps when running gh trio its a forgiving solution . By itself. No bios

You go over 75 though and its gona get sour.

Gh trio is an excellent nutrient to run sterile with 4-8 drops of bleach per gallon of water.
Hope it helps bud

I think technically they grow fastest at 72°

People recommend 68° because it has slightly
..SLIGHTLY higher DO levels.

But plants do grow faster at warmer temps .

This is made safe by running sterile or by
Having max DO relatively and
ENOUGH flow to get the do to the roots.

Most people get root rot and believe they didnt have enough DO in the roots.

But the real problem is that eve though they have plenty of DO .

They cant exchange it fast enough across and THROUGH the root ball

This is what causes problems.

Im a month in on a 20 gal set up and im at 72 degress pretty constant.
Not sterile as im running bio stimulants.

I have no issues so far .... but i have a 900 gph pump and massive air at the same time which is unnecessary but makes me sleep better at night lol
