DWC vs Aeroponics

I've read millions of pro's and cons for each...

Basically they both will kill a plant fast if the timers/pumps are not working properly...Thats not a big problem for me.

I want to build the most effecient system out there, and its come down between a bubbler and an aeroponic unit.

The bubbler is easier to make, but doesn't utilize the nutes as well as aero does.

Does anyone have a strong opinion either way? Anyone know any information that would help me be strong either way?

I want to build it soon, really soon... Any advice/opinion would help!

Thanks :D

I recommend whatever you want to try, they are both fine for growing.
How many plants you want to grow will have an impact on what your choice should be. And are you going to buy a kit or homemake one. I have grown in soil, bubblers, drip, and aero. They all work........But I would recommend the bubbler, due to the fact that if, and i mean if your power goes out at your location, the bubbler will have a little more forgiveness, than aero. And the growth rate between all the systems is a little different not much. I know there are a million posts where people swear by their set-up, and there plants have grown a foot a day, but just choose what you want to do, and roll with it.

Thanks budluck, I am seriously considering the bubbler for the reasons you stated, also building it will be so much less stressful!

I've commited, DWC...I can get the air stones and everything really quick and have it setup in an hour, while the aeroponic is a little bit of a daunting task getting the sprayers to work right and such.

DWC it is!

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Im for the aero system you can see mine in my gallery I built or in my grow journel that I have started to back post in. I found that its pretty much self suffient once you dial it in. I switched sprayers on day 2 as the ones I had sucked but found non clogging ones.I dont get a foot aday but am averarging 2-3 inches a day now.The system is a 28 site system and I looked around saw the one I liked selling for aroun $800 went to homedpot and built it for about $130 in 2 days.Works like a charm.Power iws always a concern but what I have done is also put clamps on my drian lines so if I loose power I close the drain lines raise the lower end up 1 inch with riser shims dump some res water into the 4 chambers and the roots can drink just fine til power come back on.I luv my aero and other then mommies with never do dirt again...Have fun whichever way you grow
