DWC - What are optimal early water levels?

I have 5 plants each in single DWC systems. They are about 10 days old at this point.

I have the water level about 1" from the bottom of the baskets. I now have a few roots that have made it to the water and are actually resting in the water. Not many because it's still early for heavy roots.

My question is do I drop the water level this early? Should any of the roots be sitting in the water during the seedling stage, or should it be more of a spray?

If I drop the water level much more I'm afraid it won't really spray the baskets and the other roots still forming won't receive the needed water/nutes.

Just curious as to what I should be doing at this stage.

Thanks in advance.

You're good. You don't need to drop the water level. An inch or so below the pots is a good level to keep it. The plants with their roots in the water will really take off over the next week and the others won't be far behind.

Sounds like you're doing the right things. Keep you ph under 5.8 and watch the ppm and good luck.
