Hi all I just switched from aero to bubbles, I spent way too much on a aero and got shifty results, so I made myself 2 bubble buckets out of 2 gallon buckets I had..... My question is should I get bigger buckets for my moms? And when I bloom should I go bigger also maybee a 5 gallon bucket? I'm new to this but I like the results I am seeing already!!!

A 2 gallon bucket is enough for a medium sized plant. But if you are going to have more than one, a larger tote for a res makes it more manageable and let's you grow 4-6 plants in one res.

I would be using either the 3 1/2 gallon or the 5 gallon black buckets. The bigger the reservoir, the easier it is to keep the ph in check..

Good luck :)

Now haveing the roots constantly in the water will that throw off the ph...... I was figureing just add water to the res and check the ph to balance...... Or switch the tops to anothe identicle bucket I have for a clean bucket and new perfect ph???

This make any sense?

Just put your nutes in the bucket(use ppm meter or manufacturers feeding chart). Stir em up...let the nute solution settle for a short while, and then check out the ph... and adjust accordingly with ph up or down :) Thats what I do anyways. Works 4 me :)

Ok cool I ususally make 5 gal buckets already phed so I'm ahead of the battle.... But I have to tell u switching from aero I think I made the right choice, the plants r fuller and a hole lot greener?

Hey I was readig your post great stuff...... Now when u fill the buckets and u get a great root mass should the roots be fully submerged all the time????

Hey Thanks :)

I keep the nute level about 1-2 inches below the netpot ... That way it kinda gives the roots an aero effect :)

Also 1 drop per gallon of Superthrive up until flowering. It does your roots justice. DO NOT continue ST in flowering. It will inhibit flowering. :peace:

Ive never got into the aero thing...

Except for a lil experiment with winding black hose inside a dwc bucket with a bunch of holes and a water pump.. My thread will show ya..

So, I cannot tell you if the dwc plants will be fuller or greener.

Thats usually happens due to genetics, or nutes.
