I am still learning at growing the herb, only been doing it about 3 years. I grow indoors in fresh expensive bagged dirt and take starts off the plants when they get bigger, no mother plants. I had to learn everything the hard way but I will share a little basic knowledge that might help someone. I don't wanna be the guy that uses forbid and eagle 20 every crop just to be on the safe side. I never wanna use that shit if at all possible. Very first crop I got PM and fungus knats. Over watering, not enough fans/ventilation and too high of humidity caused that. I am sure certain parts of the usa are more prone to these problems than others, I am near Seattle in WA. Basically I only spot water my plants now and check them every day. Cant be lazy and give them 3 days worth of water or you could be asking for it. I only used eagle 20 once and when I got rid of the PM it was gone for 2 years. I never even cleaned the room so I don't believe in the spores and fans theory myself. But I just got PM, spider mites and fungus knats again from getting starts from a guy with a business and 3000 starts out in his barn that he over waters like a mofo. People have been telling me for 2.5 years now to throw everything out and start over with seeds. "don't ever get starts from anyone", they say. Well I will never get starts from anyone ever again now. Once this crop is done I am starting over with seeds.
Most grow shops will tell you eagle 20 is nasty shit and some of them don't even sell it. I used it on my first crop and was thinking about it on this crop now but I think I will try something less harmful after reading all of this thread. I am 2 weeks into flower and the bottom leaves are beyond covered, they are fucking white. If you gotta use eagle 20 every crop then you should probably figure out why. Most people will say this nasty shit is a last resort so to use it every crop is probably bad.

I am very surprised nobody has just googled "Hydrogen Cyanide" and tobacco,...Everyone here may be VERY surprised.Hello to everyone. I rarely use the stuff only at earliest1 month before flower on clones from sprayed mother plant (very rarely).I am the Larry that Larry og was named after No I did not create strain just was the original grow tester for this strain. Was named without my permission BTW. Google "Hydrogen Cyanide and Tobacco" cigarette smokers like myself (quit 45 year habit last march my wife and I) Have been poisoning ourselves for decades> I'm a thirty five year grower, Sorry don't have enough posts here yet to provide links. Was regular years ago at some well known cannabis sites. All the very best people...!

I found Organicide Plant Doctor works super well & is systemic. Had a few tough crops this yr & started to think it was from using the a Plant Dr. But a buddy of mine on this site tried it a few times now & has confirmed it does not cause damage. Just the opposite actually. He has increased his quality since using it.
It's not harmful to us or the plant & works.

So would you say using Eagle @ 2-3ml's a gall on freshly rooted clones is safe? That should hold em over till flowering is done w/ a 2 month veg, no?

I would personally not use more than 2 ml per gl. even 1 1/2 ml would work I think..its what I have used. And it's just me, but I prefer to spray mothers and take clones with at least a month before switching to 12/12. I don't use eagle 20 often only when I may have a favorite strain that is susceptible to pm."Freshly rooted" clones can be finicky to burning with some agents so I always spray mother plants first ,but if you only have clones if they have good roots it will probably be ok especially if you use like 1 1/2 ml per gl you don't have to drown the plants with any systemic just mist good coverage on top of leaves.. I have actually had strains that would not get pm even here in coastal Oregon, I try to breed strains that are resistant when I can. Good luck.
