Easy, Delicious Peanut Butter Brownie Recipe

I've had trouble baking edibles that don't have a rather nasty cannibis taste. I tried this recipe last night. Someone here said that peanut butter does a good job of masking the taste, and they were right! This is a really good recipe.

I ground my own peanut butter (I have a Vitamix) from honey roasted peanuts, but I suppose any peanut butter will work. I prefer natural butter to that processed stuff.

Bottom layer:

1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg

Mix together well, then spread in the bottom of a greased 8" x 8" square baking pan.

Top layer:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix until creamy.

Then, in a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of cocoa powder and 1/2 cup flour. Add this mixture to the butter/sugar/egg mixture above and stir until well blended. Pour this chocolate mixture over the peanut butter mixture and smooth it out.

Bake for 35-40 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

I think that adding nuts and/or peanut butter chips to the chocolate mixture would make it even better. I'm going to try that next time.
