Needless to say, the plants look very healthy and it has indeed peaked some interest in EBB&F down the road in my future.
One thing you should do with your camera is this: After you turn it on, go to settings, and adjust the auto white balance (AWB). I use the tungsten spectrum because it is very similar to that of my 3000K quantum boards. Doing so will adjust how your pictures turn out. It'll look like the pictures you're taking behind the lense of your glasses.
Also, if you want to get a nice close up bud shot - stand far away and zoom in. Little trick I learned from a buddy who does a lot of photography. Never knew all those headshots you see for peoples business photos (like realtors) were taken far away on a zoom.
