if your in rocks/hydro fox farm is a horrible fertilizer choice

the fox farm nutes work for soil grows but they are the worst for hydro

take a look at your bottles of fertilizer and see how much calcium is in them?

the answer is none

get another fertilizer.... flora nova and flora grow are great all in one and complete fertilizers
mix them 8mls per gallon max strength and you be happy

Should I add some cal-mag to see if that helps for now?
is that hydroton medium or are those just rocks on top of soil?

What about for flowering. Nova bloom?
Do I need to add those other nova nutrients that are on the feeding schedule?

flora nova is a general hydroponic 1 part fertilizer
you use it during bloom and its well balanced so it requires nothing more during bloom

flora grow is a 1 part veg fertilizer .. the only addition you may need with the grow is 1/4 tsp Epsom salt

that's it!

bloom
FULL STRENGHT MIX
8mls flora nova

veg
full strength mix
8mls flora grow
1/4 tsp Epsom salt

if you have calmag already

then yes go ahead and add 8mls calmag per gallon along with fox farm 4mls grow and 4mls bloom until you can get another fertilizer

im curious

after you mix it the way I recommended

measure the ppms and tell me what it reads....
this will help identify if the 1000ppm was a bit much to start

also... I would spray them with 1/4 tsp Epsom salt per gallon

Im not suggesting the problem is magnesium def alone... but theres nothing to loose by spraying them 1x and might be everything to gain

if you feel they look better in 3 days time spray them 1 more time

youll be much happier with the other brand fertilizer!!

Ok I have switched nutrients to what you recommended and added epson salt. They are doing a lot better but some of them still missing something. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did spray them one time with epson salt

whats the ppm of the mix after you mixed it the way I suggested?

whats the starting ph after you adjusted it when you mixed the new reservior?

how much magnesium did you use when you sprayed?

id go ahead and spray it again with 1/2 tsp Epsom salt per gallon and then again in 3 days and that's it

mix the nutes the way I said

track your reservoir in a log book
each day test your ph and your EC/ppm and right it down

if your ph is rising slowly and you ppm is dropping slowly then your perfect

if your ph is rising quickly and your ppm dropping quickly consider raising the ppm

if the ph doesn't rise or if it drops, or if your ppm rises your over feeding lower the ppm

always mix the nues the same

for a slightly higher ppm mix it the same but with slightly less water

for a slightly lower ppm mix it the same but with slightly more water

I put 6ml of floragrow and it took me to 880 ppm without the cal mag and epson salt. is that too high?

My Ro water is 30 ppm

Should I still add the cal mag and epson salt
I have a 100 gallon reservoir
I added 600ml of floragrow
yes absolutely

no its not too much ... just watch the reservoir log and let it tell you

after you add in the calmag and Epsom check your ppm and log it

then do that every day

IF! those plants are very hungry the ppm will drop quick over night

and then in a couple days they'll slow down and not feed as much

I wouldn't raise the ppm above where its at now unless you've had a couple weeks of ppm drop and ph rise

you've got a pretty big reservoir so that's good but the ph and ppm wont change as quickly in a larger body of water ,,, again that's all a good thing..large reservoir is great/better!

but i thought id throw that out there

the original fertilizer (fox farm) you weren't over feeding it

it was just out of balance and missing the calcium and magnesium you needed

kepp spraying the Epsom salt evry 4 days at 1/2 tsp for 2 more sprays and then stop

post a couple more pics in a week

New batch of water and nutrients last night was ppm 1030 and ph 5.6
This morning it was ppm 1030 and ph 6.1

I will readjust the oh to 5.8.
What does this mean the ph going up
