EBB tray and Reservoir outside of tent

If I do a 4x4 tray inside a 5x5 tent and I run the res outside. I would have to have the table higher then the res right? Forgive me if its a stupid question Im just trying to figure it all out and im overthinking alot.

I want to build a pvc support around the 4x4 table and run the res right next to my tent..

You don't HAVE to... but it sure will be easier.

I don't want my shit to get to close to the lamp and burn haha. What's the best way to run it outside? A 50 gallon tote and just run the hoses through the small holes on tent?
