I had a Lynx on order. But i got a awesome deal on the GTT Scorpion 4 stud.
What ya guys think should i stay with the Lynx or just go with the Scorpion?
The option al flames on the outside would certainly be a plus.

The Scorpion (http://www.glasstorchtech.com/scorpion.html) is different than the Lynx, but not in a bad or better way. The Lynx uses a different center fire (The Cricket) and then has an outer fire. The idea behind using a scorpion for making what we want to make is that you can use two oxygen concentrators (two M-15's is perfect) and the torch doesnt need tanked oxygen. Or, you can use an oxygen concentrator for the inner fire, and tanked for the outer fire. You can even use a foot pedal with it if you want. It's a very nice upgrade to the Lynx in the flame characteristics and size abilities, it's just a little different than the Lynx.

If you got a deal on the Scorpion, I'd jump on it, why not? :) There's a friend of ours on Stickam that uses one for about 12 hours a day every day non stop and he can make waaaaaaay cooler stuff than I dream of right now.

Its the same dude i got the Lynx from. He calls me up today and says "$275 more and il get ya a 4stud gtt scorpion instead". I told him to give me till 2maro to decide.
So your opinion on it is go for it correct? And how would you hook it up i just finished reading ALL 80 PAGES of your thread haha what a read. I see you use to use the oxygen concentrators 3 of them.
Also remember you saying it only ran your torch at 85% would i hav the same problem with the scorpion if i ran 2 of the M -15's?

Hmm after looking into this a bit more I'm probably gonna go with the 2 M-15s for the inner fire and tanked oxygen for the outer fire work on the Scorpio.
How big of a learning curve do you think it will be when i switch to the mirage? From the scorpion.

Edit: Found this video with a scorpion running on one 10 Lpm O.C. What ya think gonna need one more?

My first torch, the Nortel Red Max, is a hugely inefficient torch with respect to optimizations for the oxygen ports. The Scorpion is designed for maximum gas efficiency, and use with concentrators. You'll be plenty fine inner concentrated, and outer tanked or any way you wish!
