Watering habits or the soil. I don't know about you but it's significantly cooler in the room where the majority of my houseplants are this time of year. I water much less and let the soil stay much dryer than I do when they're in warmer temperatures. Cooler temps and wet soil are common problems with many houseplants in the winter months.

Not a bad plant indoors but outside it takes over. It's classified as an invasive species here in Portland and other parts of Oregon. I still pull up that stuff as some is growing in the very back corner of my yard. It's coming from the neighbor on the other side of the fence. I wish they'd rip out what's on their side of the fence. That stuff will strangle my Arborvitae to death if left unchecked.
