Experiences Growing Outdoors in High Wind Areas

Sometimes the weather changes before a crop is complete. Please share any experiences you've dealt with regarding growing in a high wind area. What precautions do you take? What sorts of corrective measures do you take when precautionary measures were not enough or you did not perceive the wind to be a factor in your grow?

Sometime da plant faw over.

I saw a post on IG of a greenie that was tied in knots. Oregon I think. Plants were OK in this case, but he said there was about 100 greenhouses in that area that had damage.

I’m in a very windy area. I put 4 posts around each plant and wrap the posts with 2x4 inch welded wire 6’ tall. Then I slide bamboo through and allow the plant to move, but not fall or tilt over.
