Sorry in advance if this thread isn't posted in the correct place...

hello everyone,

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm a newbie.

Ok so I live in the United States and I've been smoking for a little while. Lately I've seriously been considering growing, not as a big operation but just a few plants at a time. Now as far as getting seeds to start growing there are a lot of online stores from Amsterdam and such that sell seeds. I was just wondering if these sites are ok to buy from and have them ship seeds to the United States of America. I'm not exactley 100% on the legality of the situation concerning owning marijuana seeds in the U.S. but I believe it's illegal and I'm worried that customs or something will check my package and I'll end up in serious trouble. Any advice to give to a worried beginner?

im a noob too. but seeds are definately illegal. definately has a chance of being intercepted by customs. But alot of people do it all the time and i heard attitude seed bank was good and i had a friend who got seeds from white label seeds and it worked out. Ummm also heard if you order a shirt when getting seeds from attitude im pretty sure, but its a little more stealth but im still a noob but my friend got seeds from white label and it was fine and dont put a fake name or anything on it either you know..

if you want access to great seeds order from a canadian seed band they will more than likely sell them to you as some companies in europe and the UK wont sell to yanks like yourself for liability reasons us canadians don't care its perfectly legal to posess seeds here and plus exclusive canadian strains are fucking amazing. for a quick referance look up vancouver seed bank and see what you can find. also for extra advice some seeds here are expensive but thats also because its usually for a paitent to grow with so some of the money will likely go to health care to aid costs of licence distrobution. if you take care of your plants very well then you dont need to buy some fancy and flashy strain a cheepy will do just fine i also say that because if american customs want to be assholes and confiscate your purchases you wont lose as much money.

I hope this is helpful to you, good luck dude.

cheers.

I was in the same boat, I moved to a new place and had no way to get seeds for my little grows. I was scared to death but I ordered from here and I was amazed that they arrived in 10 days and the package was inspected by customs (it had the inspection stamp on it) and the clever way it was packaged there is just no way customs would think that it wasn't what it was declared to be. Amazing!

What exactley happens to you if your seeds are intercepted by customs?
I have been told that nothing happens because anyone can send a package in the mail with the intent to set someone up. My concern is that someone comes to interview you about it and they discover your garden.

Customs are very busy and really dont have time to wast on a few seeds. They however "could" but unlikey pass on a message via cad to a local law enforcement agency or task force to do what they call a "knock and talk". Wouldnt provide any info, just would say "thats not mine" LoL.

Some seedbanks have better ‘luck’ with getting beans to you. What happens if something is caught customs then looks for anything from the senders address, the return address, and then checks them. Some ties sill change their return address/name often or randomly and others will not and will wait until they find they have a real problem.

You can contact the different seedbanks and ask what their successful delivery rate to the U.S. or wherever is and while they can fib it seems that normally they will be honest because they not only want your business once but they want return business and know if you have bad luck the first time and that is because they fibbed you will not buy again. Some with low success rate may fib but that is why you pick from only the highest rated seedbanks.

Check here for reliable ratings.
