those are so small you should still be hand watering them

plain water only no fertilizer

I wouldn't put them into the system until they've got 2 sets (4 leaves) of normal leaves

they need another 10 days min under a fluorescent grow light

Yes sir. But this time I'm going to let the babies grow a bit. I literally put the first cycle of nutes in on day 1 transfer. Not sure if that hurt or not, but defiantly waiting a solid week of decent root growth before any nutes this time.
I typically start at .2 for the girls but pretty sure it has a bit to do with the nutes and plants, I never go much above 1.2 at full stretch but the girls I'm running now seem to want it a tad higher lol. Watch the EC and if it's falling rapidly give em more ;).

I put mine in as soon as they germ but the cube is sitting on one layer of stones. The water floods to just touching the cube and it get moist. I do run mine under T5's for veg but if that's all u got I have had them under 400's and 600's to start with no ill effect, just keep it far enough to not heat up the seedling, it will not harm them just a bit of a electrical waste, they do start under the sun after all lol. My newly hatched seedlings are sitting in full sun and loving it as always.

have you got 4 more seeds?

you might as well start those in the window until they've got a couple sets of leaves so you have replacements incase these get fried

The only reason I moved them into the system so soon is because it's been really crappy weather here for a couple days, no sun. They started turning sideways like they were hurting. And there's still no sun likely this whole week around here.

So I threw them under the lights. Good to know, I'll grab some cheap flourecent light setup for next go.

The Rez water is no nutes for at least a week. Just PHed to 5.8 currently, but not running since my huge downfall last time was overwatering.

currently debating my watering schedule. But cranking it way down.

ok
so at least your aware and can monitor it

Im not positive cuz the light might change your humidity but I wouldn't think theyd need to be watered more than 1x a day max

provided the light doesn't dry em out to fast

do you have another potted house plant you could put in there with them that might create some shade to keep them out of any potential hot spots in the light

just for a week

idk
maybe im over reacting to the light
im used to running 1000 watters

you might get away with it but if they start to yellow out before they even have a full set of leaves you better get them some shade

I'll live inside the tent pumping CO2 and misting the girls every two hours is I have to. Haha.

I do agree with the humidity change point you being up. Because in the little tent they live in for a couple days during germ was always extra warm and humid. What's up with that? Germ vs veg vs flower? Humidity factors in?

the heat from the bulb dries the air

the more bulbs you run in a small space the more humidity they'll eat

IMG_4052.JPG This is May 29 at .2 EC, in the setup for 4 days after germ, this is April 15th and EC at .4 IMG_4159.JPG . Lights are 6" away from plant but yes they are HO T5's which work great for veg so yes grab some up. And yes it is better to error in the side of caution when figuring out what EC works best with your setup. Just watch how the EC and PH are doing as stated earlier and keep the floods or waterings lite

Well, shit.

They did not do well overnight.

Since day two of germination, when we had a few days of really overcast days, they started looking sick. Losing color, falling over..

That's why I panicked and threw them into the system.

Are they dead already? Should I have left them in the small grow dome even though there was no sun?

I'm running out to get a t-5 setup for veg/germ.

I can't believe I'm having so much trouble getting anything going. Wasted like 15 seeds so far.

I am so pathetic. I don't understand, I'm caring for these damn things, and they just keep in dying.

these are just babies a few days old. I hadn't even turned the water in the system on yet. Just lightly sprayed them.

They are all dead, one is hanging on for dear life. Sprouted couple small leafs last night. But the stem is gross looking (brownish)

My light is exactly 3.5' away. I've read plenty of people throwing seedlings right in after germ, under HID, led, didn't think it made a difference.

So I'm down to 4 new seeds I haven't touched yet.

I Think when there was no sun present for 2 days of germing, they started looking bad then, I don't think my lights did anything. They just couldn't revive them.

So, weather here is going to be shit for last least a week. No sun, lots of rain.

Should I just get a t-5 setup going for germinating?

Thanks

Only one that made it. But it seems to be doing ok.

I'm switching the setup over to t-12 6500k.

Popping the other 4 right under that.
