They look kind of dry in the last pic but it's hard to tell. I never use a dome unless I'm cloning. The cold weather shouldn't hurt them as long as it's not to cold. Not sure wtf is going on :(.

Hello! It's your medium. If your watering your plants from top to bottom, set the nute solution to 4.0 and measure the run off. It's most likely going to measure 6.8 or higher. Collect the run off and add more acid to it then redo this till your run off measures 5.5. This is what I'm having to do with my growstones. Slowly the run off will stop jumping up so high but I've been at this for 3 months. Your best bet is to switch to neoprene chunks. Read my threads...

I posted plenty of info on how much growstones suck ass. Also don't plant your baby's directly into grow stones. They're too abrasive for a seedlings tap root. Use a 3x3 rock wool cube and establish it in that first then move it over to the growstones bed later. Trust me man, I'm in the same boat you are. You have your solution now, get to work... Hello! Today is a good day, because I have two healthy plants!!!

I have figured out all my mistakes. And even though I'm a huge rookie still, I'm feeling like a pro. I defiantly screwed up with the t-12s. I have not mastered using Flourescant yet. Temps stayed around 60 degrees. And the plants were not loving that. I'm sure I can tweet my floureescanta for next grow and save in my electric bill. But that's for another day.

I put my big lights back, ran exhaust, set timer for water every two hours. None at night. Watching PH pretty well. Although it's frecking hard with 40 gallons.

So, the two that are doing great are ready for nutes. But I was wondering.....

At what fraction should I use for the nutes. 1/4 , 1/2?

My PH is 6.2 and PPMs are like 560.

Should I refresh my water? The cleanest water I can get currently is roughly 300ppm.

That would be ok probably if they were established with good canopy ventilation I would think but you would have to test canopy temps. My hoods all have intake incorporated (not sealed) which gets rid of heat so it helps.

I didn't have a large budget for my light. So, like a meathead, I got a light and hood, but exhaust is not incorporated. Although I do have a 500cfm exhaust fan cranking right next to it.

I'm wondering with the 600W mh/hps (mainly hps). How close they will be able to get without taking damage during flower? If they double or triple in size during flower, technically I should switch the lighting now?

do yourself a gigantic favor, buy a cool tube, filter, and some ducting to hook the fan to the light before they get much bigger, 90-92 degrees means you will have an uphill battle, i have a 600 in a 4x4 tent and it gets to maybe 80's, and its in a metal shed in the deep south lol, Imo its the best money I've spent so far

My research has left me a little confused.

The cool tube your referring to is basically a vented hood? With the glass screen covering bulb? My initial google search led me to something completely different, but I think I'm on the right track now?

I ask because I can rig my hood to have exhaust ports on each side of it. But the glass bottom would be to risky to build.

Would that be good enough?

it's a tube of glass your bulb mounts inside of, you hook one end to your filter and the other to the fan, exhaust outside the room or house for best results. I checked my exhaust fan is a ventech 4" 190 cfm "vortex" type fan, it's 68w, it's been running constantly for four years now, your fan should crush that one
