Fall Salad Garden

First time I've ever gotten a good fall crop of lettuce and greens, I got on it this year though and have been watering it like mad during the heat wave of the last few weeks.

I mostly want lettuce and some other stuff to add to it for a nice salad mix.

Shit's starting to get overrun with weeds and I'm not huge on weeding... have critter problems, when it's dry out the squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits look at my yard as an oasis or something and fencing won't keep them out.

I started with a couple small rows of lettuce that I started inside and transplanted around the middle of August I think it was... We've been eating this lettuce for awhile now, I've been harvesting it and chopping the heads so it doesn't look this good now. I get about 3oz of lettuce a day off a little patch about twice the size of this photo.

Spinach - just started to pick on it... this is two packs of Burpee spinach seed in about a 4x4 area. I soaked the seed overnight.

Baby Kale - about ready to chop on

I think this is Pepper Cress or Water Cress maybe? First time I've planted it...

Baby Arugula with some more mature arugula behind it...

Baby Oak Leaf Lettuce, the critters have since feasted on this...

New round of lettuce transplants after the critters ate a bunch of them.

I picked a bunch of peppers today. The pea patch has played out, so the peppers is all I have left going. I will disc up the garden soon and get ready for fall/winter.
