Fan leafs eaten, Stems left intact. ????

So I've battled spider mites and fungus gnats plenty of times in other crops. This is nothing like that. Something is eating my plants. It prefers new growth, sometimes eating the top right off a young plant. It will eat the whole fan leaf and leave just the stem also.

I've inspected for a caterpillar or a beetle to no avail. I've sprayed Azamax thoroughly and still I have leaves being eaten.

Anyone had this problem? I'll try to get a picture soon, But its just a big stem with no leaf coming off the plant :cuss:

I had a friend that had the same problem. Turned out to be a mouse. Little guy was snipping the leaves off right at the stem.

HAHAHAHAHA I thought it was a damn caterpillar. Talked to an ole timer round these parts and he said, "do you have a cat, or maybe a dog?" my damn dog has been sneaking in my veg room and eating my damn plants! makes sense cause only the plants on the outside were getting ate. Ole guy said there would of had to been a foot long caterpillar to do that kinda damage. Needless to say the dog spent some time in the cage hahahahha.

Lady bugs and those flying flat 'stink bug' things will both eat leaves and then hide till they are hungry again. Good luck!
