Fan Mounting/Ventilation Question

I'm growing in a small 2x2x5 grow tent that I've set up in a small closet (very confined inside and out). I'm going to be using this DR 60 II's 6" exhaust port to suck air out using 4" ActiveAir 165 CFM Inline Fan/4" ducting leading out of the tent/closet space onto the ground (the fan being on the ground outside the tent) where it will then be blown through a Phresh Filter of 200 CFM capacity. My question is regarding the attachment. I'm going to have this filter resting on the ground, on carpet outside the tent, as you can see in this photo I've just rested the fan into the filter and the flange fits perfectly, do I need ducting/tape/clamps/further attachment between that bottom half? Second question is, I have no ducting clamps but this is a very simple ventilation due to the fact it's a highly ventilated room w/ loads of co2 I just need some minor circulation right now (LED grow) so its exhausting out the top.

Fan is set on top of Phresh Filter, nothing binding/holding it but it feels pretty steady/connected with a good fit, is this the proper installation?

Having no clamps I just used duct tape to seal around the fan. Is it ok to operate the fan on low levels if there is ducting attached to its metal plate via the connection?

Overall concept, the top of that exhaust is going to go up, up, and into that mini close, into the roof of the tent to pull air out of the exhaust and blow it into the filter outside the tent. I haven't turned the fan on in this setup or even fully taped the duct yet, I took these photos first so I could get some advice from those with experience before proceeding as this is my first grow :)

I wish I could help you but one of the reasons I grow with CFL'S because I don't have to worry about venting the heat. I plan on getting g a Tent,(Jordan) and a 400watt HPS in the near future so maybe by then you can answer my questions regarding venting. Happy growing and may all of your harvests be bountiful.
PS any other questions please feel free to ask.
