Fan size help

Having a hard time after searching so thought I'd post. Just getting back into things- have a SJ dr150w on my list (5x3x79" iirc). Gonna be running LED- most likely two 420w cob lights for now. I'm stuck on fan size. I'm leaning heavily towards Vortex, just not sure on 4 or 6" and which model. From reading leaning towards a Can or Phresh for filter.

6". 4" is way too small.

I use a 6" for ventilation on two spaces. About the same sizes of grow space you're using. I wish I had two 6". One per cabinet. I'm currently moving to an 8" inline blower to vent both cabinets.

I'm using two 300watt LEDs. One per cabinet.

I've got 8 T8's 256w, humidifier 50w, fan circulator 50w in a 32"x54"x65" box similar to your size. W/441cfm fan set to automatically come on when temps hit 78.0 degrees and shut off when temp hit's 77.5 degrees using a willhi 1436a... due to overshoot I hit 76.0 degrees like clockwork pulling in 55F basement air. It runs for 40 seconds and then shuts off for 4 minutes. Kills two birds with one stone.... Temp control + fresh air intake. 6" might be overkill depending on the intake air temp unless you automate the fan.

It'll need a dial adjuster on speed. No doubt. You don't want to vacuum the plants out of humidity. I can see a 4" having to run full blast. No room for adjustment of the flow.

I should add that I run my the fan on the lowest setting... for 300w of heat input.
Just noticed. TWO 420w cob lights!! I'm building an 8 cob 400w setup... 840w, holy F. Yeah step up to 6".

Man, I just caught that too. I was reading space not the light.

840watts....holy shit. That's the landscape of Mars for the size of the space.

If I run the digital temp cut off would I still need dial adjuster to get proper speeds out of the fan?
Lights are the cheaper Chinese led so I give specs with a grain of salt if that helps.

The space has to mimic a spring day. In temps, ventilation, circulation. You're gonna want ventilation for smell. It can run 24/7 for full scrubbing effect.

The speed controller allows you to adjust the amount of air ventilated. Dialing it in, other conditions...It's easier to maintain humidity.

The digital temp thingamajig. Consider that a safety feature. Something that keeps the plants from getting too hot. With a dialed in grow space. The device is useless.

What is your outside tent air temp? How about 3 months from now in the middle of summer? If I ran my 440cfm on the lowset setting 24/7 I'd bet I barely hit 65 degrees in the tent, because my intake air is mid 50s. That said... even the lowest speed on my fan blows like a son of a gun....

Right now mid 50's, summer will be warmer but first year in this place.
whats the link to the fan?...
just make sure it has a decent low setting. I'm using the vivosun 6" 440cfm fan and its low setting is crazy. If you run it 24/7 as soon as you lights turn off, you're going to hit 50's in no time.

Do you have a plan for supplemental heating?

Don't think this is an easy way of things. The ways you've read. I've been at this awhile and I'm been working on a new grow room for about a year. Clock hours...a year.

I have too small of blower. The 6" is just too small for my spaces. Now. I get to spend more money.

Including a fucking high dollar 8" carbon filter. Mother~fucker. Plus I get to crawl through attic insulation. Gotta have it. I'm getting smell in the room, where the cabinets sit.

That's a No Go.

I have two cabinets very close to the single dimension you listed. I have two of what you have.

Each cabinet runs a 300watt Galaxy Hydro brand LED light. ( The light color is pink).

I can grow 8, one gallon pots or 6 two gallon. I switch to flower at around 8" high. I grow from seed so the ratio usually ends up 50/50. I've been lucky or gentle. I've gotten four females out of six seeds, lately

LEDs are incredibly strong. I sprout to adult under the same 300 light.

Edit to add. Growing from seed. 8, one gallon pots improve my chances for my ideal 4-6 females. If by chance all 8 are female. There's still enough room for circulation.

Dammit if I get a 8". Right now, my temps and humidity are perfect. A constant average of 50%. Temps go as high as 76°. Down to a low of 66°max. Average 74/68.

It's that common smell coming out the cabinets. Fresh, earthly, clean and green. Just the thing for jail time. Thinking this out. All this discussion. I have enough blower. I need to seal cracks instead of plob down $200 for new shit.

See? We all have the design wonder. It usually ends up with spending money....

My grow is all legal so no worries there just keeping nosey people at Bay.
I don't see heat being a huge issue as this one seems to out out very little (Roleadro 400w).
