Fast Bud Autoflower 3 days before harvesting

Purchased 3 Fast Bud auto-flowering seeds from tude. Only have enough room to grow one plant at a time. Seed germed on Dec 1, 2011 and was planted in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil with a little extra perlite. No ferts were introduced until the 10th day in pot, and then it was organic 8-8-8 (2 teaspoons in half gallon of water). After that, only fed with bone meal, bat guano, and molasses. I'm looking for 2oz. dry weight.... think I'll get that? She will be chopped on 1/25/12.

Looks like I'm getting lots of views! Tell me what you autogrowers think.... please! If you have ever grown fast bud, did yours look like this - did it look better this close to harvest?

Thanks~

She looks great. I think she still has at least a week or two though from what I could tell from the pics I didn't see any discolered hairs on the buds.

Hey guys! Just got back home from work.... light used through entire cycle was HPS 150W, occasionally turning her so all sides were lit equally. Light period was 19-5 through entire grow. Unfortunately, the lighting conditions and camera I was using were not apt to take real close up pics of the trichs, but they have orange and brown hairs and OMG... the smell is skunky. I appreciate your feedback, each and every one of you! Next grow will be in a 5 gal bucket instead of 10 liter pot (in the same cabinet but placed on the bottom shelf). This is a great strain! I will be growing Hobbit autoflower next and will document the entire grow! God bless cannabis and those who enjoy her fruits!

Okay, Sweet Seeds labeled fastbud as a strain that can complete in 7.5 weeks from seed. By my calculations, that would be 53 days from seed. I gave this plant 56 days from seed and I know the picture cannot show it because the flash takes all the color of the bud in this picture, but the pistols are orange and brown throughout most of the buds, especially the upper part of this plant. So, without further ado, here's a pic of the stems hanging with 80 percent manicured bud. The remainder of the manicure will be performed once she's had a chance to dry 5-7 days in the closet. Then the buds will be going into jars and burped often for a couple weeks and then the cure should be done! Here ya go (click on pic to enlarge)~

Just food for thought the general rule is adding a few weeks to what the suggested harvest time was... from the pics you honestly had a few more weeks and possibly a bit more weight to put on but hope the smoke is good! keep growin

I know it's almost impossible to guess the weight of these buds before the water weight loss, which is generally 65%, but I am going to say dry, we're looking at about 2.4 to 2.8 oz..... What say you? That top cola is HEAVY and tight!

Well, you may be correct, although the trichs are milky and amber on most of the top buds. The lower buds were mainly cloudy. Really, the flash takes away a lot of the color since these are on a white background and in a tight space..... The surrounding leaves left on the buds are frosty as hell and the aroma is very sweet and diesel. On my next grow (Kannabia Hobbit), she is slated for 65 days from seed. I'll plan 75 just for good measure~

Thanks for all the positive comments!

My general rule is 1/4 of wet weight will be the dry amount works pretty well for me. Looking forward to seeing you next bout. Hope you get what your aiming for!

What was your light schedule? shes a monster.
Hey there... I see you were also doing fast bud.... you gave me tips, so I am going to give you one... this particular strain LOVES cooler temps, between 68 and 75, and the density I achieved on the cola I attribute to the molasses and bone meal tea. I'll definitely be doing this strain again. I also think that fox farm ocean forest is the best medium I've ever grown in. You should have seen the root development when I pulled the trunk out of the pot.... Also, got a question for you... what is the most potent autoflower strain you've grown to date? I would like a strong 80/20 or 70/30 sativa dominant auto that doesn't grow taller than 3 feet and yields at least 3 oz dry. Have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Okay, to end this thread with dignity, I would all like you to know that the cut off stems with the manicured bud stayed in a dark closet for almost 5 nights where the temps stayed between 65-70, fan blowing lightly over them, and moisture around 46%. The stems snapped and the bud was dry inside and out. The final weight dried before going into glass jars.... 61.9g. The top cola was 9.4g in itself. The buds on the lower branches are real airy, but the diesel smell is potent on this strain. The taste on exhale, to me, tastes like diesel and lemon peel. Nice head high from the uncured sample.
