PRS 90 them all look good buddy IV been growing for 3 years and my autos don't look to good but I'm hopping the will do better now that they are in the basement when it's not 100 degrees my room been getting to hott swith these cheap cob LEDs but the autos seem to love them other then the heat I have a Diy cree led and a timber kit also but think I need 4 more cobs on each frame
Do you like the COBs? I've been looking into some of them but I've just been so pleased with the MARSHYDROs. They were cheap, they run cool and my electric bill loves them. It may not fatten up the buds quite as much but someday when I can afford the good ones!:bigjoint::roll:

Ya I just sold same light u have the green one and the one that's two of them.in one the 196 reflector and they grew OK but buds were always real airy not dense but I have a 600 watt Mars hydro that I grew a bag seed OG Kush and the buds were much better then under the reflector ones and these purple cobs I got.off.eBay well they get real hot but other than that the autos seem to like them the citizen cobs seem to work.good not much stretch in the plants I got.the kit from timber and I got the Cree cobs 3500k from.realstyles and they came with the bigger pin heat sinks then the citizen kit came with but I'd like to put all 8 cobs on one frame and flower.with it and see how it works

The number one thing to remember with the autos is that any significant stress will really stunt it. Sadly I've had to learn that the hard way a few times. I've had some luck with some LST but they don't all like it lol.
Plus growing from seed each time instead of clones/always growing the same strain has its ups and downs. Every plant reacts so differently and you have such a short window to kind of dial in what works best for it. At least that's how I like to grow my autos, everything is for personal use and sharing with friends so I'm always putting down different beans to keep the rotation fresh with new strains.

I use tap water. I fill a 5 gallon bucket and let it sit for at least a day right out of the tap. I have pretty good water in my town, about 6.9 PH level right out.

I really want to try some photos this season outdoors. Got a few freebies and don't really have the room in the tent. Should be an adventure!:eyesmoke:
That's the main thing I've heard about autos,...the stress part. Which in part, stresses me out lol. And that's some dang good tap water! Just like me switching to autos this grow, there will probably be a steep learning curvegoing from autos to growing reg seeds or from clone. IMO, it's much much easier to get things dialed in, so it should be a win win for you. Again thanks for sharing your experiences.

Damn, that Mephisto came out nice. They seem to have some good genetics for their autos.
Thanks! I cut her down the other day, buds were very whispy and leafy but I had some drainage problems early that messed that up. I'll get some pics of the crop when I can!

One of the towns around me was actually voted best tap water in the country. I think Fallon even did a bit on his show about it!:weed:

Hah that's awesome! I bet it takes a toll on the bottle watered companies in that area ha. Anyway, I just saw a pic of one of your matured autos and I had no idea they could actually get that frosty. Gives me a lot of hope for my candy cane autos

Sounds like I might be in for more of a treat than I was expecting. Honestly, growing autos was just a way for me to make up for a bad harvest and some other things, but I may be sticking with a few autos during all grows. I'm impressed by what I've seen and read in just this forum. Heres an update an my autos. The two largest are only 16 days from the day the popped out the soil. It sure feels like it's been longer. Anyway, here's the pic

They look great so far!
It really is hard to pass up the ease that comes with growing the autos. And from what I can tell, they have come a long way from what they were. The genetics out there are just fantastic now!

Thanks, I'm definitely happy with the growth rate now. Seems to be starting its really fast veg state. And yea, judging by the photos of your autos, I'm convinced the thc level that these auto breeders claim aren't as exaggerated as I thought (seems like most claim to achieve 15-17% thc with most autos. Definitely can't wait to smoke some of my first auto bud

I've heard you can run autos on 24 hours of light from beginning to end (just suppose to switch my mh light out with my hps light when I start seeing signs of flowering). Is that true or would I get better results doing a different schedule. It seems the general idea is to give them at least 16 hours + lighting even during flowering.

The more light the more they grow I been doing.a.20 on 4 of I use to do a 16 on and 8 off to save electric cost and my plants didn't get very big due to not enough light so ya the 18-6 works to but my plants like the 20-4 so that's what I'm keeping it on

Your plants look happy as ever! Whatever regiment you are using, looks really dialed in. It's frustrating for me bc I want to grow photo strains again so bad but I'm in the process of moving and had to take my flower tent down. Anyway I think I'm getting off track ha. My logic was being that I currently don't have a tent to give the plants undisturbed darkness, I would go with the autos that seem to do better with less dark time. Am I correct in my thinking, or am I for a hermie surprise when flowering stage hits. I've been doing a lot of research and it seems people always grow autos in tents or flower rooms as if they needed undisturbed dark time....but from everything I've read, they don't need dark time. A little confused. Any help would be much appreciated

I guess I could sum that up in a much more simple question. If I want to run the lights on 24/7 until full maturity, will my plants be ok,...or do they need that undisturbed 4 hours of dark (which I'm guessing is for better root production and better smelling bud)

I've seen people do full 24 hour cycles but when I've tried it, they didn't seem to stretch in veg as much. I go with 20/4, I like a few more hours of light since I'm using lower end LEDs right now.

And in terms of smoke and quality, if you pick the right breeders, it'll compete with the best. I barely know what I'm doing and the Mephisto strains that I've shared with all my friends is leaps and bounds above what they're buying on the streetz.

And I snapped a few more pics today!
The two oldes, LSD and MexAir have pretty much stopped vertical growth. I'm starting to go more flowering heavy on the nutes. Time to bulk up!
LSD Day 54 I believe?
Standing at a very comfortable 31" tall. I've been watering her almost every other day, she just can't get enough.20170420_104108.jpg 20170420_104140.jpg
And the MexAir. Day 55ish.
Open up a little bit after a few light bends and is starting to bud nicely.

These few are going a lot slower than the previous autos I've done. This is my first run with FastBuds so that may be it. It's also my first run of full air pots with 7 gallons of Coco medium. I think patience will be key with these gals and they could put out some nice buds.

Those plants look picture perfect to me!! Hats off here. I think I'll just continue the 24 hours unless I seem some extreme stunting. I actually wouldn't mind if these autos cramped up a little. I'm really looking for some comparable trichomes coverage, smell, look, etc in comparison with my last sunset sherbet grows (obviously those were photo strains). If these autos can stand up to some homegrown sunset sherbet, I'll be convinced to have at least one auto in every grow

Mephisto's White Train. Not a huge harvest but great smoke. Creeps up on you and gave me the super duper munchies! But there's some trichomes for ya!

Mexican Airlines Day 51
Still short and very bushy, starting to stink just a little but looks great. Trying to lightly bend some stems and tuck some leaves to help open her up a bit.View attachment 3926486 View attachment 3926487 View attachment 3926488
Your leave are clawed mate, and this bad girl looks very dark green and shiny...may I suggest you are giving her too much nitrogen. I suggest you flush her and PPM her down to about 300 then let her dry right out almost...you wouldn't believe the improvement.
