Fast drying + curing VS slow drying and no curing

Let's say the goal is to get it done in 2 weeks (drying and curing) after harvesting.

Which way is better?
1) dry it for normal amount of time which is probably 5 days and then cure it for another 9 days.
2) or dry for a very long time - 2 weeks and no curing at all.

Which way gives you better results and why? Would there be a big difference at all?

Based on my experience, 3 days is not good, 4 is ok depending on strain, 5 is good enough, 1 week best results. A good dry will get you good herb if the genetics are good. The cure will make it better, but as I said, a 5-7 day dry should give a good baseline product imo. My best results come when I jar my plants at the right time. Just before they get dry and have some moisture. If you overdry the hay/grassy smell will take a lot longer to leave the buds.

I regularly do slow dry, like 7-15 days in an environment that stays ~68F/65% RH. Regardless of how long I leave them before I can get to trimming them, they still need a proper cure imo to get the best burn and terps.

I hear it reduces smell and flavour quite a bit. but will be the smoothest smoke you ever had, apparently.. im planning to try it out on a small portion of my next harvest, just to see what its all about.:bigjoint:
you are correct after much trial and error I prefer the 4 day soak,

it does make your weed look like crap

but hey.. you can toke in front of ur mom and she not know

good luck

You should try both, personally i prefer the results of slow drying.

5 day dry, 14 day jar
14 day dry, 5 day jar

By the end of 3 weeks pop the jars for a conclusion.

Straight up 14 day normal dry, cure is irrelevant to a good dry, well dried weed smokes exceptionally well, cure just adds that little edge.

Dont get duped into thinking you have to cure weed, its totally an optional extra mainly driven by products to help you cure weed and mass hysteria on sites like weed aint shit unless its cured.

Quickest way to fuck your harvest and 3/4 months hard work, dont dry enough before cure and bingo shit tasting probably moldy weed.

Just trust me that your brtter of having a full 14 days dry if you need that weed after two weeks to be primo for smoke over the short dry and short cure.
I wait till my weed is really dry to cure, kinda hard to overdry unless you try and dry it too fast.

Weed aint properly dry in five days anyway, 2 weeks to make sure, 5 days means your drying too quick.
