Is it a "Cool Tube"? If it is enclosed with glass on the bottom, get you some 4" flex hose (aluminum foil dryer hose) and run your exhaust out. I have my fan in the attic sucking the air out of the cabinet. It reduces the noise coming from the cabinet and I found that the motor on the squirrel cage motor gets really hot, adding to the problem. You will definately need a motor to suck out (or blow out) the hot air. Drill you some inlet air holes near the bottom for fresh air to come in but do it in the back so the dark doesn't leak into your cabinet.

im getting a 150w floralux, air cooled, glass lens hps from htg supply and dont exactly know what kinda vent i will need. The reflector has a 4' inch vent on top of the reflector were ducting can be placed at one end and the other end will be ettached to a vent.I will be growing in a small cabinet big enough to grow 2 to 3 plants so i dont think a heavy blower or can fan will be needed.there will be 3 4 inch holes with pc fans, one at the bottom for intake, one connected to the air cooled reflector and maybe one next to the vent just for passive air and wires.I really want to just go with pc fans but during harvest im afraid that the scent will be strong and dont know if anykind of filter can be placed on a pc fan.Any information on this matter will be much appreciated.

p.s.if i am already venting my heat from the reflector will enough of the humidity be pushed threw the other 4' passive hole since a pc intake will be pushing air from the bottom?if not i could use one more pc fan just to draw out humidity but then ill run into that problem with the odor again,so if any knows a way to make a homemade filter pm me please.
