9-0 supreme court decision to uphold BC's right to have a supervised injection site. This is great because:
"This is a neighborhood that's already suffered from years of addiction that needed intervention. It was a killing zone"

It's a fairly unique idea that worked and the conservates (doesn't deserve capitolization) wants to take it away. All because they want to get "tough on drugs". Well Steven Harper, I will NEVER vote for you. I will grow for me and my friends and you can't stop me.

Clearly people want this injection site too, people were cheering in the streets of Vancouver over the decision. The Canadian Medical Association tweeted that they were happy with the result.

The ruling stated "Insite (the injection site) has saved lives and improved health without increasing the incidence of drug use and crime in the surrounding area. It is supported by the Vancouver police, the city and provincial governments."

On the other hand they also said their ruling is "not a licence for injection drug users to possess drugs wherever and whenever they wish."

"Nor is it an invitation for anyone who so chooses to open a facility for drug use under the banner of a 'safe injection facility'"

To further prove the site works former Insite user Wilson commented "It took me three times to do it, and that's another good thing about (Insite), if you try and walk away they'll let you back in. I walked out straight the third time and I've been clean almost 22 months"

NDP party praised the decision saying it put an end to "years of Conservative interference"

They also state that drug overdoses have dropped by more than a third in Vancouver East riding since they opened in 2003.

The lesser of the two devils, the Libral party in Canada, responded "Will the government respect the Supreme Court's decision and stop attacking insite?"

"The bottom line is we wanted to save lives, decrease mortality and drop hospitalization rates."
