I have used 5x strength MG on my cannabis outdoors they love it, I just don't use it the last 8 weeks I go to an organic bloom for 4 weeks. Every strain taste has a great flavor and not of metal or chemicals.
and that's not a bad thing. You give your plants time to use up a lot of the chem and finish with natural and sweet feeds. Im sure they are good buds because of that practice in the end...

miracle gro is awesome for veg, nearly unequaled in results. i say that having tried thousands of dollars worth of products.

know what's better? farm salts. water soluble nitrogen. it's a big deal, and you'd not believe the size you can accomplish in 2 weeks vegging.

this said, it's important to understand the needs of your crop. i don't care if it's corn, tomatoes, soy beans, or cotton. cann likes a load of potash for flower, does not like ample phosphorus (used to increase flower set on ornamentals) and needs little nitrogen after the stretch. a 1-2-3 is awesome for flower, and you can do the math any way you like. overuse phosphorus, and you'll get a toxicity resulting in lockout. overuse nitrogen, and you'll have a good ''green'' taste to your flowers. over use potassium, and you'll get buds that won't want to dry properly, but will have twice the weight of others not abused, size of product vs size of product.

i really don't understand why there's still a debate going on here....

also, chem or organic, plants will use the CHEMICALS they need to grow properly. organics contain chemicals. so do salts. generally, you will achieve a cleaner product using only chemicals, as organics have many other residuals that will be taken up by the plants. if engineering were useless, we'd not be having this conversation, as the internet would not exist. you absolutely CAN grow perfect plants with chemicals and water with no soil or medium, and the results are certainly above the rest. no need to flush if there's nothing needed flushed.

butthurtedness is an epidemic, plaguing much of society. everyone wants to be a hero. boxing should become a hobby for many. much more rewarding than bitching to anonymous people online anonymously.

I can respect this post...There is plenty of validity and if you are kicking butt with what you use, why change your regimen? If it isn't broken don't fix it lol. But if you get great results that's awesome, and I have no problem giving credit where credit is due. Lots of people have different practices but ultimately all come to a similar result. Its all about how well you use it like you stated and knowing what and when to give it to your plants.

if it ain't broke, as the saying goes. i certainly don't claim to be the know all of anything. if your results are satisfactory, that is the only thing that truly matters.

Would you also use "miracle gro is awesome for veg" and tea brew at the same time?
I need a little clarificationabout VEG, The time it is growing before you put into Flowering cycle, isn't that considered the Veg stage?
My 2 plants are now about 8" tall, aren't they in the Veg stage?
I am not stupid, maybe I am asking some questions that will seem stupid to you Professionals, but if I keep learning, and live long enough
maybe someday i will be able to help people like myself, in the Learning stage. All I want is to grow some meds. and be very successful at it.
You guys are the BEST, and I mean it!

i'd not use both. mg is very high in nitrogen, which is why it is awesome to grow base plants.

your plants are in veg state. once you flip the lights to 12/12, they will begin to flower due to shorter photo period.

stupid people don't ask questions; a good definitions is trying the same tactics and expecting different results. a question unasked is one unanswered. the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

you will do fine. good luck!

thanks goat!

you can use miracle gro during veg and yes, you can give teas too. I consider miracle gro as a base nutrient. I give my mature plants tea once to twice a week, and I give a base nutrient feeding once about every ten days. A good compost tea has all the materials a plant needs for good healthy growth.

yes, the veg or vegative stage is when the plant is growing tall with leaves. Then the bloom stage, whether mother nature's sun or you controlling lights is when you reach 12hrs daylight and 12hrs darkness. that usually occurs in the fall for us. Right now, the amount of light per day is increasing right now as we head to the summer solstice...

goat, your questions are not stupid. You actually are a good gardener from what I saw. You read learn on your own and ask for clarification when you need more info or understanding. Some people get on here, they don't want to read or learn. then they ask questions, often repeatedly and one can kinda tell that they have absolutely no interest in learning on their own and expect everyone to hold their hand every single day lol...You are not one of those people. You already have a lot of knowledge, you are just trying a different "fruit" if you will, than what you are used to growing or have mastered. Many have different ways to do things, we all come to a similar result. I like input of many, it helps evolve ones thinking to be more innovative with what one learns :)

Heres my deal. I am not a young pup anymore. I need to get this right the first time.
Failure is not an option. Even though these are more or less practice plants, 2 seeds given to me
and really no knowledge what they are. I know the only thing I can not control is their sex!
A week ago I didn't even know that there are male and female plants! Today I have one really healthy and one
a little stunted but even it is comming around. Going to get it in a 3 gal pot by the end of the week.
Again, Thanks Thanks Thanks

these guys are the best, I lsten and I have my plants nearly 5 ft tall and huge poppe
There are lots of good well practiced growers in here. I do well in what I do, no doubt. But I've seen some brilliant geniuses' in here too. Now realize they can get grumpy and easily pissed off, but most don't really mean any harm. They get asked a lot of questions, sometimes ridiculous questions like "what's a quarter of 1tsp per gallon?" it would be a quarter teaspoon per gallon and is simple math lol. A lot of us get a lot of questions so it helps to always list details of the equipment in your growroom, temperatures, ph and ppms, and so forth. All the info u can provide as well as pictures if you can. But otherwise, I love this site, there are some really cool farmers here with loads of knowledge and experience.

I just start with a good topsoil with light ferts for seed starting... then continue with Jacks Classic and a calcium supplement. I may be giving MG Organic Choice a try this season simply because it's a much cheaper alternative to FF. I'll probably end up dropping in at the farm across the road and see what they've got laying around for sale.
