Feeding with Pond/Water Garden Water?

Does anyone use Koi Pond/Water Garden water to feed their plants? For those who have ponds it's quite common to use the waste water to feed flowering plants and vegstable gardens - but on the same token, few actually keep close tabs on how they keep their plants. It's usually just water, and go.

"Fish" water, I know would be high in N.. but it's got to lack other nutrients that plants need. I'd imagine if I went this route I might need to supplement it with something else.

Any input appreciated. You figure this water is organic, and is being recycled/repurposed (rather than drained right into the ground). I think if it's got the right properties then it would be a good feed and discussion point for the community.
