Fem seeds?

Work in what way Cinderella? Produce all female plants, not hermie, good phenos?

I've found that the plants will almost always be female, but there are some males reported.

Plants from feminzed seeds are less sexually stable than the parent plant, more chance of hermie.

Dutch Passion did a test of 450 plants over 15 strains and found that 70% of the plants from seed closely resembled the mother plant - good pheno. A better chance of getting the plant you want than regular seeds but not a clone.

Germination rates the same as regular.

.

My feelings are that - at the moment - feminized seeds are great for trying strains but if you go with one seed you may get a bad pheno and be turned off the strain. As well, inexperienced growers may stress the plants and get hermies easier than with regular seeds. Great for trying strains but I don't buy them any more, regular only. I want the best, most stable, genetics for my mother plants.

I just switched to fem seeds. Got some fem Papaya from Nirvana so I could try doing a Screen of Green without having to hassle with clones. Due to legal restrictions, I like the idea of never having more than five plants at a time. You can't do that with regular seeds or clones. I plan to stick with fem seeds from Nirvana and try a different breed every time. Next in line is Pure Power Plant.
