female from seed and weeks 3-4

ok so i have read in a few places (no references) that to increase female chances with normal seeds that the best thing to do is nurture and not stress the plant in weeks 3 and 4.

i have no idea if this works or not, but im going to give it a go and find out.

my question is when exactally are weeks 3 and 4?

is it 3-4 weeks from germination, sprouting, first real leaves showing, when?

if anyone knows about this method and can help it would be appreciated.

ps im gonna try the banana method too and post results, just for shits and giggles, it sure cant hurt.

i've read that more light increases the chance of a male plant while in Veg state. Less light 16-18 is more likely to lean toward females. which makes sense since less light probably stresses it less.

I go bye the 5th to 8th node you should see preflowers by then.Sex is predetermined, but stress will make it herm if conditions are not perfect!

Whatever the reason I always end up with many more Femals then males when I go from seed. In fact, last grow i started with 2 different strains from seed (W. Widow and Satori Mandala) Out of 20 seeds I had 17 females. This is common on all my grows from seed. I start them under Warm CFL's, at week 2 move them to a veg room with either MH or HPS (which room has the least mothers in it) Always under 24hr lighting. I veg, clone, and mother under 24hr. After 2 or 3 more weeks they go under the 1000watters and start to flower.

What ever the case may be, It makes them females. I dont buy feminized either. Hope it helps

If they are predetermined at seed, I'm one luck fucker.

yeah i suspect every seed is female to start, and turns male at a different stress level
some go male at the stress of being wet, some need to be molested to think about it
