Feminised seeds vs regular seeds.

By supply You meant by cloning, right?
Breeding. Cloning would be only female. So if you buy fem seeds and want to continue the line. Cloning. That'd require a separate grow space for a female.

Regular seeds provide a more genetic diverse plant through breeding. It's a gamble on female to male ratio. That just means you need to plant more seeds to better the odds. One tiny seeded plant(25" tall) can produce 5+ grams of seeds. In today's market, probably $300- $500 worth.

Fem seeds are more likely to have the desired phenol show up whereas you might need double regs.
Regs are better for preservation in a small area.

Heres my crude thougts... as a grower you are like either a straight man or lesbian woman at a bar and you want some loving, would it not behoove you to take home someone you knew was a woman??? just sayin...

I like fems for all the same reasons listed above. If you have a lot of space then I guess regulars would be the way to go so you could hunt for the winners. With limited space I can't risk growing males..

Crossing up plants from regular seed stock isn't "breeding". It's happenstance. (chucking) Breeding takes years and multiple grows of plants and has a specific intent higher than just making seed. (aka...STABILITY) Sadly...we don't see much "working" of any lines theses days...just crosses of crosses of crosses of crosses/etc.

You can take specific female cultivars on through time via cloning...or via STS. (making more fems from them). This is a great way, IMO, to preserve that special plant for the future. (I am growing out seeds this season that were STS'd 5 years ago from a clone I grew for 5 years/selected from a pack of female seeds)

But everyone has their preference and it's all good as long as you are growing the plant
