It's for lawns.

  • Apply when planting seed, sod, sprigs, new lawn plugs or overseeding.
  • Establishes new grass quickly and feeds new plants evenly.
  • Patented timed-release nitrogen feeds new grass plants as they develop
  • Won't burn when used as directed.

Did a search on starter 20-27-5 and Scott's came up. Thought that perhaps the person postings was either trying to save money or didn't know that pot plants are differnt from grass seed. They need different nutrients then what is provided in the mix mentioned above.

Would you wax your car with a candle? If you tried hard enough you might be able to do it but there are products made to that. The results are much better when you use the right product for the right item.

Wigmo ...

Hi, Bro ... Trust me on this:

Peter's "Jack's Classic" 20-20-20 for vegging.

Peter's "Jack's Classic Blossom Booster" 10-30-20 for flowering.

Mail order from here: http://www.jacksclassic.com/

Only use at 1/4 strength and your plants will love you for it. Be sure to flush your plants real good before converting over to the Blossom Booster. Its almost like these ferts were made for Mary Jane.

No reason you can't order from the site I gave you. I've done it myself.

By 1/4 strength, I mean 1/4 strength of what the full dose is in the instructions on the fertilizer container. Anymore and you will burn the plants.
