Finally up and running!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the support over the last few months while I got myself up and running.

Everything is setup. I just have a few tweaks to do, but my beans are popped and sitting under the light now :D

Here are a few pictures of all the progress!20170721_222909.jpg 20170721_222919.jpg 20170721_222931.jpg 20170721_223138.jpg

After it was all sealed up I got good negative pressure.

12 hours in and max temp was 70 degrees.

Between 55-60 humidity. It is raining so I expect that to hover around 50-55 until winter. During winter I will most likely have a tray of water under my intake.

Once I have some progress I will start a grow journal thread.

Again thanks to all you folks that replied to my threads about my first setup. Appreciated greatly!

Just one thing, why not install a regular type small door on hinges and drywall up above it?
(unless you have some secret door construction in mind for the future..)

I thought the same...He could even make a simple frame for a door and use sheetrock to cover it that way the entire wall looks hidden except for the gaps. You could even use hidden hinges ti keep it super stealthy!!
Either way man, it's a clean little spot you got there!!

Nice design OP. I use the same personal fan pointed up the back wall of grow area to create a bottom to top airflow that circulates back down to hit the plant with a nice breeze. Medium setting creates a nice flow; plants love the indirect airflow.

Will there be an opening during operation for air to be pulled in? I don't see a passive air intake with panel installed, unless part comes off? What kind of wattage per COB? and what are they?

I was just going to ask folks about that fan. I had an extra but wasn't sure if it was too much for that grow space. Don't really want to buy one if I don't have to.

I will redesign as I go. It will eventually be full stealth with a false wall. I even plan on putting that exhaust into my ductwork and putting a hanging ceiling in to visually hide it. This is a proof of concept. I will continually improve. I see this as a hobby. I need to make sure everything is functional before I start complicating it with full stealth!

The front door has a passive intake. The square is a light baffle. 10" x 3" rectangle opening and 12 " of overlap on inside and out to prevent light leak. I could make it better but the lung room has blackout blinds and I disabled the overhead lights... and my off hours will be when it is dark outside anyway. This eventually will go away and I will have the appropriate intake from a wall that will resemble a cold air return.

I popped a royal queens special kush and a ripper seeds double glock. They are feminized. I got them through grokingseeds.

I have a bunch of other seeds but I only want to put 2 plants max in that 3x2 space.

I also got some basil in there until my girls push them out :P

The light is 2 CMX-22 gen3. I haven't tested the exact wattage yet.

I made the light frame from a 10 dollar angle aluminum from Lowes. Cut some V's and bent it. Driver is just tie wrapped on and hanger bracket is pipe hanging strips.

I think that was all the questions.

Pretty darn excited!

Again thanks to everyone for their help!

Shout out to Cobkits. The lights are perfect!

For sure man, I'm sure that fan has a couple different settings on it like mine does. You could always turn it on low to start out OR point it away from the plants. Your area looks like it's 6 square feet. You could always add another small/cheap 6" clip on fan towards the top of your room if need be or wanted.

Sounds like you already have things planned out for the future:clap:I think probably everyone on here has changed things in their rooms many times, so keep up the good work!

Already starting to get my first set of leaves.

This is day 3 in soil.20170723_182628.jpg

Humidity is a touch low because my A.C. in the house is on. It is only like that for about 2-3 hours.

That jiffy germination dome has a bunch of basil clones in it. Where I live you can't buy basil worth a shit. They put the shit in the fridge and it dies in like 2 days.

Multi purpose grow room until my ladies get big.

My lights are about 18 inches from the seedlings, and my inexperienced opinion is that they are sitting at about the appropriate height. The seedlings leaves are growing, but it hasn't really stretched up all that much in the last 3 days.(maybe 1/8" growth up, leaves are considerably more developed since the last pic.20170725_192510.jpg

I'm onto my 3 day(or so) watching schedule now as they seem to be doing quite well, and I assume the roots have developed enough to pull the water from the entire cup pretty much.

I'll update in a few more days.

Anyone wanna let me know when the new grower fever wears off? I wanna look at my girls like 10 times a day :P hahahah

I'm really starting to understand what everyone means when they say "don't love them too much!"

My growtent kit came with an exhaust fan like that, it was heeeeeaps loud. Is yours super loud?
I switched to the Hyperfan, which comes with a speed dial, and is whisper quiet on lower speeds.
After a few years one of them died, and I recently replaced it with the model built into a silencer.
Now it's whisper quiet on high speeds! :O :D

That fan is the Honeywell Super Tech Force fan. On the lowest setting, you can barely hear it.

About 5 years ago, they redid the blades in them. I've bought 4 of them in my lifetime. All of them are still working and only the first one was a jet engine.

Probably going to be a shop vac.

Unless I can rig something before then.

I have a spigot from an old rain barrel but I don't have a big and shallow container to put it on.

Hey man can you take a pic without the lights on! That always helps!! I'd guess calcium or magnesium deficiency BUT it's been a LONG time since I've grown. I'm sure other great people will chime in

If you water with a RO system that could be it unless you supplement with something like Cal mag + or etc. I used to have plants that looked JUST like that until I figured it out. Maybe that helps until someone else chimes in
