Finishing first grow?

i can't tell what the heck I'm looking at. Are these trichomes clear or cloudy? I can't get my eyes to focus through the jeweler loupe and can't hold my hand steady enough to get a good look!. I'm on day 49 and my friend told me these two varieties typically go 8 to 9 weeks. Tomorrow is day 1 of week 8 and would be a nute change day. Go with another round of nutes or start a flush? What does the collective RIU community think? Thanks

Nice canopy can you do a close up of node to see pistals. pistals change color when resin production has stopped hence the end of the cycle is nearing

Pistils from two days ago. Almost 80% have changed to brown color. Only running technaflora nutes. No pgrs. I think I'm looking at mostly clear trichomes.

Pics are a bit difficult to see closely but it looks like you have plenty of white pistils that need to turn brown and trichomes need more time as well, ple

Still have plenty of pistils that need to turn brown.

Kind of hard to tell but it appears as though there asre still more clear than cloudy trichs and no amber.
I thought pistols were somewhat irrelevant? all along I've been focusing on trichomes color and clarity?
Thanks
I wouldn't say pistil color is irrelevant. They are not the final decider on when to harvest, just an indicator. trich color is obviously important. It is difficult to see exactly what your trichs are doing by your photo.

Cheap microscopes work great. Loupes are good to get an idea on what they are doing but kinda hard to see exactly what is going on. This was taken today with a cheap microscope from Amazon. You can see mostly cloudy, a little clear and no amber in this photo.

FYI: These are fairly cheap and easy to see what is going on with your trichs:

I'll try for a better photo tomorrow when the lights fire up again thanks!

So these pictures are a little better. almost all brown pistils but mostly clear trichomes. I don't see any Amber. today's a Nute change. technaflora recommends a different schedule for the last week. anyone think these should be chopped in a week? thanks

Not a week. I'm getting a 10 day vibe off the pictures. Maybe a hair longer. 63days total flower. Somewhere in that spot.

Looks sativa dominant.
Suposedly critical mass and some sort of blueberry. They have some leaf curl, canoeing going on but pretty indica dominate though the pics don't show it!

The older they get. The more wrinkles. Lol. She has ran her life span(almost). If she was human. She'd be 100 years old. You'd be cranky looking too. Lol

Doing good, my man. Nice job. Respect on a well done grow.

Personal preference would be wait until there is mostly cloudy and just breaking into amber trichs, then harvest. No one can tell you how long that would take.

My guess would be pretty close to Southcross, somewhere around 2 weeks give or take.

Honestly comes down to preference and if you are going to be smoking or processing for concentrates, early cuts mean less degraded thca but might lose out on terpene production. Wih less degraded thca your going to get a clear/peach/golden color extract. Your smoke might even be more energetic, over the heavier couch effect. This is why it all come down to your personal preference.
