First AeroGarden Grow!

Hey Growers, I'm Still Fairly New To Growing Looking For My 1St Harvest This Year! I've Had Fairly Successful Plants In The Past But Mistakes And One Time A Bad Gardener Caused Those To Go Down The Drain.

This Time Around I'm Using The AeroGarden 6Pod. I Plan To Eventually Give One Away, Move One Outside And Keep One In The Garden, I'm Using Stock Lights and Stock Nutes
And An Added Light I Found In My Dads Shed.

These Plants Are At Day 12 Of Veg At The Time Of This Post (1/6/15)

I Clipped The Top Of The Second One Two Days Ago And The Top Of The Third Yesterday. The First One Is A Late Bloom And Is Growing Weird, Thought I'd See What It Does

I've been growing with my areogarden7 for about three months now I've been through ten plants the first 7 were bag seed and I ended up with three males so I got rid of them then the roots on my girls starts going brown and eventually died so I did some research and bought and air pump so I bought some dwarf low flyers for crop king and tried them I out I have one plant left because of continues problems with root rot so I bought some aqua shield and it picked right up so I suggest even buying it as a preventative it grows healthy white roots and I also picked up a ph reader it doubles as a temp reader too and I read to not agave you temp above 20 c

No I've just been using the liquid nutes that come with the grow anything kit but I think on my next grow I'm going to try some bloom booster or berry juice from the same makers and the aqua stuff it's supposed to keep the ph balanced while still promoting bigger growth and yield during the flowering stage so I read haha

It's more of a ghetto RDWC system, I have the aerogarden extra, it does not have aero sprayers so it is not a true aero system, it has a pump and it drips water across your roots, so its like RDWC. Marijuana plants grow too large for the system anyway only really useful for cutting clones or starting seeds.

Yeah I was thinking about using mine mainly for clones, but ended up just using rapid rooters / solo cups

Years ago Aero was popular amongst the avant- garde growers,
the deal is to grow them roots not in aerated water but nuted steam,
but the steam nozzles always clogged up, causing many unwanted issues,
I've always wanted to try it, but I wasn't gonna be the first to ion out those lost issues
so all the guys went back to hydroponics (DWC) deep water culture!
I went and studied up more on organics ..lol

It's a water pump that the aerogarden comes with you need to get an air pump you can pick one up at Walmart for less then ten bucks and an air stone. It helps dissolve oxygen to get to the root system.:eyesmoke:
