First Auto Grow! Couple of Concerns

hey guys!

So i’m doing my first autoflower grow (and first grow at all, for that matter) and I’m in the middle of week 3 from sprout on my Crop King Seeds Autoflower Mix Bag. Unfortunately because of the “mix” factor, none of the seeds were labeled so I have no clue what is what. It’s all good but I do have some concerns with a few of them and am not sure what the problems are. I’ll post some pics below.

Here’s my current setup:
4’x8’ tent
4-300w Mars LEDs on 24 hrs cycle
8” fan and carbon filter
2- 6” oscillating fans
3 gal airpots
2-21” x 50” heat mats under the pots
Black Gold Organic Soil
Temp: 81 in day, 75 at night.
Humid: 45-55%
I ordered 10 seeds, got two more for free, 100% germination in the wet paper towel but only 11 popped above soil. (I’m guessing it’s was due to the tap root curling all the way around the seed hull when it popped.)

Current Nutrients:
Fox Farm Big Bloom Organic Plant Food
Fox Farm Grow Big for Veg
Feeding nutes every other water.
Water pH 6.1

I use sulfuric acid as my pH down. I figured it couldn’t hurt considering I use it as a pH down for my 25 acres of pistachio trees that I farm and since I have about 500 gal of it on my property....why not? Lol

If anyone can help that’d be great!

Well come to RIU :) Seems like you got a good set up going. Is there a specific question? What do you think is wrong with your plants? Color? Size? etc.

Well the first pic I posted, the leaves look lightly splochy with yellow stripes/spots and the new growth is small and stringy. I have 11 autos total and 2-3 have these symptoms.

The second pic I believe may be a nitrogen problem from what I’ve researched...? Someone let me know

And the third pic is growing slowly with yellow coming out of the center/new growth. Didn’t know if this was normal for certain strains or not considering I have a mix pack.

And hopefully my picture posting in the original post worked in the first place hahaha

By the way, here is a pic of my whole setup: (the two smaller airpots and the metal bucket in the back are regular photo periods that I’m just experimenting with. Also, ignore the random 4” fan and carbon filter on the floor hahah)

Looks good... Pretty exciting, I'm sure..

Autos have all kinds of strange characteristics.. Pic 1 may just be a weird looking plant. Not sure.. It'll probably be fine..
Pic 2 is nute burn, Soil is likely a little hot. No worries.. It'll live..
Pic 3.. I'm not sure.. It'll probably be fine.

You will likely need more light.. See how it goes.. Since they are autos and will likely remain short maybe your light will be enough..

Agree with sunny. Personally, when feeding them dont use full strength nutes maybe 1/4th to 1/2. and with high powered LED lights (300w+), dont put them too close, you can get light burn. 30in (2.5 feet) should be around the correct distance as well during veg.

I use the viaspectra 600W and plants are loving it at 24" 3 weeks into veg. I did start out around 30 and gradually lowered it. But def keep an eye out of light burn if you do happen to lower it. I have been alternating days the past week between 24-28" from canopy testing the power of the light. Will be considering lowering it to 20" next week, but will gradually do it through the week. Just my two cents. FYI: Viaspectra stated ideally starting off around 30" and gradually moving down to 24" during veg and 18" during flower.

Looking good. Only thing I would suggest from what I was told, is to keep your canopy therm/hygrometer more in the shade (I have mine hiding in between the pots so its not directly in the light. This is supposed to give you more accurate canopy readings from what I read/been told.

Thanks for chiming in guys! Appreciating the info! My lights are currently about 2-2.5ft or so away. I’m also currently following this feeding schedule (currently on week 3) from autoflowering-cannabis website:

“This all depends on the strain and growing environment but in general I am using 1/4 or 1/2 or the required dosage for regular cannabis plants and I keep to these schedules:

1 week(seedling) – Ph adjusted water

2 week(start of vegetative) – 1/8 veg nutes

3 week(vegetative) – 1/4 veg nutes

4 week(pre-flowering) – 1/2 veg nutes

5 week(first flowers) – 1/4 bloom nutes or 1/8 bloom and 1/8 veg nutes mix

6 week(flowering) – 1/2 bloom nutes

7 week(flowering) – 1/2 bloom nutes

8 week(flowering) – Ph adjusted water

9 week(flowering & harvest) – Ph adjusted water till harvest”

I figured I needed some kind of idea for feeding and thought this may be a good start for my first grow.

Your environment seems to be perfect, so I would look into your soil/feedings. Those plants are small and do not need much right now. Not sure about the sulfuric acid though.

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give a little update for those of you who gave me some advice about a month ago or so. The plants seem to be doing well! Nothing has really changed as far as the environment and I am still sticking to the feeding guide from above feeding them nutes every other watering. I am currently in the middle of week 6. These ladies are nugging up fast, it’s so awesome to watch day by day. I’ve also had to do a TON of leaf tucking to try and get light to the lower buds. These autos get so dang bushy!! Hah I thought I’d be able to identify at least a few of these in this mix-pack by now but I’m still stumped oh well. Hahah It’s all smoke, right? I just hope it all turns out alright. I added a pic of the room currently and a few pics of the front-runners of the pack. Let me know what you guys think!:) any feedback is always appreciated.

Also: if anyone has any advice on lowering humidity, please let me know! I can’t seem to get it under 45%

Thanks guys!
