First Cabinet Grow

About a year ago a buddy of mine told me about a small local company here in Maine that helped to set him up with a sweet little grow cabinet package. I was a bit skeptical but after about three months I saw his results and decided it would be a good option for me concidering how much money I was giving him every week for ganja! I shot them an email and we got working on a plan to refurbish an old TV cabinet that I had. Because I was on a low budget and it was a small cabinet 43"h x 36"w x 20"d, I decided to go with a 250w Digital Light and an active-air 4" fan and carbon filter. So about a week later they delievered my cabinet to me and it was pretty much ready to rock, I only had to hang the light and put in the Bulb! I have never actually grown my own before but I had a few friends who could point me in the right direction with clones and tips. As big fans of Subcool they convinced me to mix my own home-made supersoil. I mixed Half Foxfarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil (which came with my cabinet package) and half Pro-Mix BX. I added a little worm castings, kelp meal, bat guano and some local North Country Organics PROGRO and put it all into a 30 gallon container Soma Style. I supplemented my waterings with Foxfarm Big Bloom and Neptunes Harvest Liquid Kelp because I wanted to stay 100% Organic. I grew 6 clones of a local strain of Lemon Skunk...Needless to say the results speak for themselves! My first Harvest was just under 7 oz of Perfect Nugs...I am just about to pull down my second harvest and I must say that buying a grow cabinet was the best decision I have ever made, I am now saving a bunch of money by NOT buying pot and I am smoking like a chimney!
