well, I should be able to see the sex by now, or atleast a hint at it... and im still clueless. I think theres pistols on the top of this plant and "easter plant 1", this plant has things folding in the center together, at the top, many leaves coming out, and then theres string like things, coming out of the center too.

I am germinating seeds right now, and im getting ready to plant 6-14 more seeds, in red cups to grow under currently 6 26 watt cfls, but will be up to 10 when I have more money, maybe more.

well im still not sure of its gender... on any of the plants. I dont even know if its flowering. One of the first days flowering the timer got messed up somehow, I quickly fixed it when I saw the lights hadnt shut off on time, but it could have been 15 minutes late, I dont remember... but it shouldnt have caused a problem.

no 15 mins isnt a problem.. are there any light leaks??
your plants are probably taking longer to flower due to the fact that you started to flower them before they were naturally ready for it (ie when the nodes start alternating) usually around 40-60 days depending on strain
take some close ups of the nodes if you can

I agree with the light leak scenario.
I think that is a common prob with 1st growers.
i went inside my closet with the lights off during the day with lights in my room on.
I found that there were slivers of light all the way around the door.
Duct taped that ish up. I just taped all 4 edges of door and the inside of the door frame. This made the door fit tighter and eliminated all light.
I veged my 1st grow for 3 1/2 weeks from seed and then switched to 12/12.
I was able to determine sex at 6 1/2 -7 ds.

yeah its probably slow because im flowering early.

but I havent ever opend the door while the lights are off, they go off midnight to noon, and im asleep and either at work or at school during that time. I checked the light from the door frame once, by shutting off the lights and then closing the door behind me, theres very slight amount of light you can see by looking directly at the frame at a certain angle, but the room itself is 100% pure black, no light whatsoever can be seen in the closet from the outside. I even have a towel under the door inside and outside the closet, and thats the only spot where any visible light could get in.

I should have 4 more germinated seeds ready to plant in the new veg room later tonight, 6 26 watt cfls to start off with.

wow I havent even looked at my plants in almost 24hrs, and right now I have to wait 3 hours for the lights to come back on until I can even go in.

seeds still havent germinated, this is taking longer than any others.

I did put one seed directly into a cup with moist soil, it looked alright and didnt break under finger pressure, but that was stupid, it may not even germinate, and here I am waiting, for something to come out of the soil... and I used one of my better seeds too, it came from a better bag of bud with only 2 seeds in it.

be patient. remember: females usually show sex late, so "late bloomers" are always welcome in my garden.

I hear Sativa dominant strains may take longer than others, so be patient with that also. for future reference you may want to at least do a pre-soak just till the seeds sink, and then either go striaght to the growing medium or go to paper towels to germinate. BUT its not too late to do so if the seed hasnt already cracked. You may have to gently dig up the seed and start from the begining with a pre-soak.

I do usually germinate via paper towel, but I was anxious to start growing under the new 6 cfls in a new box, and I forgot to germinate 3 days before I got teh stuff, so I was screwed. I do have 4 germinating, going on day 4 maybe 5, still nothing, they looked like they were closer to germinating 2 days ago -_-. I tried to dig up the seed in the potting soil, but I couldnt find it anywhere lol, so I just left it.

Alright, I got the new setup set up, and I put the flowering plants under it, mostly the same lights with reflectors, but its on the same light socket strip so its eaiser to adjust, I put that on the timer too.

Well its super bright and closer to the door, so when I went to sleep I saw a huge amount of light through the door frame, so I used electrical tape to cover some of it up, I ended up leaving the closet light on.

5am I woke up early and the closet was still lit up, I thought to myself FUCK. It should have been out exactly at midnight. I checked the timer, it was fine. Then I finally realized I left the closet light on. I turned it off.

so the light was on for 5 hours, during its 12 hour off cycle. the closet light is a 100w incandescent, thank god lol. the plant was also covered mostly by the roof of the box, so when I looked at the plants, with the closet light on, I could only see the plants vaguely.

did I just fuck up the flowering?

I made no changes to the timer, and im not going to adjust it.

you just made a boo boo. stop.

you may have stressed them somewhat, just make sure it doesn't happen again!

the closet lights actually about 7ft away from the plant, and the plant has a roof over it, and its only a 100watt incandescent, so how bad can it be?

its now day 44, Day 21 Flowering, and still no sign of sex... or even that any of them are flowering.

the plants seem to be growing as normal, except easter plant 2, the one in the big white cup, I accidentaly knocked over, and a lot of the soil, I put back as much as I could, and I put it up closer to the cfls, now about 2" away. the leafs on the plant were all drooped the next time I checked on it. I think the tip over was pretty gnarly, and stressed it a great deal.

wow alright the reason ive been lazy is cuz i been thizzn lately lol, and hella drunk and high. this fuckn kid in the neighborhood gave us a bottle of vodka, a bottle of rum, and a whole bunch of other shit, and 2 cartons of crappy but decent cigs, and just yesterday paid me $20 to smoke 2 bowls of some pretty good stuff with him, he got totally ripped lol, like its a double meaning: he got ripped off, and he was hella baked off them bowls haha.

anyways, the whole first batch of seeds none germinated, but the second did and quite fast. I planted them and have 2 sprouts, each under a cfl in a gooseneck lamp with a reflector, in the veg box, still no fan for it ... but I have $35 to spare for w/e til friday, so ill prolly get one.

rip easter plant 2, hes dead . he always grew slow, but the tip a few days ago proved fatal hahaha. every leaf and branch completely drooped and everything died.

atleast I still have the main plant, still doing well, and I have easter plant 1, growing even bigger than the main plant now .

im now adding reflectors to all 6 of the cfls that are in the flowering room, flowering the main and easter plant 1. before only 3 had reflectors. it was also nearly an oven in there, I fixed the ventalation problem though. But damn a lot of lights not getting reflected well, but the tin cans will focus it well, so oh well.

well I guess thats about the end of the update, i will take pics tonight.

oh yeah, I am now germinating 4 seeds of some fire bud I got a few days ago, they all looked germinateable lol.

too lazy to take the picture. the veg box now has 2 lamps in it, and not all the light is contained from the flowering box. but its no brighter than what the plants would get on a normal night outside.

the veg room might be leaking a bit of light nothing more than moonlight though... shouldnt be aprob. but the 2 plants in the flowering room are drooping .

lol alright, well the plant that died a week ago, 18 days in flowering, had 6 nodes... I finally ripped it, it was completely dry and stiff all leafs curled and died, and very sparkley.

well I was ripping all the leafs off and I think there was a seed in development on the branch somewhere... because everything was crumbling, and then I saw a white empty seed shell on the paper, I have a picture. but I saved all the leafs, they were crystaly.

I will take pictures tonight of the other plants too. I planted 4 more, the other 2 are still growing in the veg box, like day 2. doing horrible though, since I dont have a fan for it yet.

but anyways, I will post hte picture tommorrow sometime most likely.
