Goddamn that soil plant looks so much weaker than the other ones, it's only one day younger.

what's up with some better pics of the setup? You know maybe from numerous angles showing exactly what's going on there?

Here are a few pics of what I have going, the tub underneath is the reservoir with a pump and nutes.

Here's the light arrangement, each one is a 42 watt cfl

that looks pretty cool, so how exactly does that water the plants? is there holes in the bottom of the pots or what's the deal there ( never really looked at hydro grows )

Thanks for posting the pics. man

There are holes and parts of the sides removed to let water in on every [ot, and if it's dry up top I have a spray bottle for it. it waters every 4 hours at night and then at 11AM during the day.m It has Root stimulator in it along with some organic nutes.

There are holes big enough for the roots to escape and pool at the bottom in the nutrient water.

so basically your growing the roots through the soil and into the water that you put the nutes in?

Will you have to transplant to a bigger pot or will it be ok since the roots are escaping through the bottom?

How much did that hydro setup cost ya?

Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, like I said before this is pretty much the first time I look into hydro setups.

well part of the medium is soil(15%) and the rest is gravel and no I won't need to transplant, I should be able to let the roots grow down into a pad of rockwool when I get it. the entire system without the hps/metal halide lights I bought was around 60$ USD

but hey a better medium would definitely be rockwool with some gravel around it to grow in, especially with a hydroponics setup.
