Hey all! Well this is my First run doing regular seeds and have some male plants that are showing up. The Question i have is if I wanted to collect the pollen Can I put them in they’re own tent in the same flower room with cfls or will they still pollinate everything else through the tent? Also I am in San Diego the days are still somewhat short could I put them out side to finish opening up? If the outdoor method is better then the tent method any way to harvest the pollen outside?

You would definitely need to isolate them

And not track any pollen into your grow unless you want seeds.

But find your best male and just let him do his thing till you see the flowers open

I simpley. Tapped the stalk of the plant over some parchment paper then

Pick out any flower material and make sure it stays dry as im pretty sure humidty kills it

I collected my first pollen this year in march

And its been in a airtight jar in a container surrounded by rice to keep it dry in the fridge

Its still good cause i polinated my first plant this last week and it looks like it took
So almost a year in the fridge and it was still viable

I would not do that. Find a completely separate place. Pollen is like dust, it will go everywhere. Make sure all fans and ventilation is off where working with pollen.

I'd suggest tying off the girl you want to pollinate in a bag, except for the branch you want to pollinate. This way you lessen* the likelihood of completely pollinating the entire plant. (You may still find some seeds up there somehow....)
Or just go in there with a male branch and shake it like you've never shaken before. (To pollenate the entire crop!)

And like Cold said, make sure You Shower! and wear new clothes! ;) before visiting your females again.

If you have strong ventilation with a good filter and follow a strict sop you could pull it off for sure but why chance it? If you have another space to move the other tent to that's probably the safest way.

If you put them outside and just make sure that you check them at least twice a day to be sure you get some of the first round of pollen before they start cutting loose with clouds of it that would be fine too as long as you get what you need and then dispose of the plants.
