First ever wardrobe grow.

A here are the buds finally jarred. I won't be able to check the humidity inside, so I'll just have to rely on the touch and stickiness.

I decided to jarr them today, because the outside of the buds were dry and just slightly starting to become brittle in structure. The big stems had a little bend to them, but 9/10 stems gave off a snap sound, so I guess that's good enough. If I were to wait one more day, I'd be past that "sweet point" and over dry them and they'll be crumbling in my hand.

I'll be opening the jar at least once a day for a week or so and then once a week for a few weeks, although I doubt it'll stay for that long hurr hurr, no telling what will happen. :bigjoint:

I also included some pictures of the newly sprouted basil seedlings and the latest and greatest DWC setup for them. That little pump does produce a nice amount of splash, so I can't wait. :D

As for the new seed, those buggers sent them to me today... after a four day delay. For God's sake I never have luck with these things. Hopefully they'll be round here tomorrow.

How is it I'm having more luck in sprouting poxy basil in rockwool as opposed to cannabis. ;_; Hopefully things time goes better, because as much as I love growing basil, I'd like to start my second run. :D

LOL I can relate!
I keep dreaming of this cupboard, with many jars of different strains, amazingly well cured, awaiting my selection for whatever I want them for -- it's going to take a while to build that up, haha!

LOL yeah the basil just sprouted as if it were the easiest thing in the world, didn't it, totally uncomplicated!
Maybe that will break the sprouting curse that seems to be hanging over your head for you
Just pretend you're planting basil,m and all will be well!

Your PC box looks awesome btw --how strong are those 3 cfls?
I ask because I have been agonizing over veg shelf lighting for a while now ;)
Cheers!

Hah! That's been on my mind for some time now, what a sight it would be to open a cupboard and have a gander at all these different coloured nugs stored tightly in jars awaiting for my degustation to begin. :D "hmmm, I'll try this one today". One day Calliandra we'll get there. :D

You hit the nail on the head, ever since I've tried going hydro I have seem to be been cursed. <dum dum duuum> Hopefully those meanaces from the post bring me my long awaited seed tomorrow and I'll keep it as simple as possible.

Thanks! It was my first ever project so to speak, I've got a seperate journal in my signature for that one. It was a really fun build and I'll definitely do some maintanence soon and change a few things. You should try it, PC boxes are great for starting seedlings and micro grows if one is into such things.

Those cfl's are abooout 27W & 1600lumens each if I recall correctly. It's not bad for the start, although they can be used throughout vegging if one were to by maybe two more.

So I just weighed my buds and have come up with a grand total of... fuck all.

Just joking, I've counted 23g although I'm sure there will be a little less once the curing reaches it prime. (and I'll double check on another scale, I'm secretly hoping that this one is broken and shows a much less value hehe) I'm glad because I've set a personal record, although next time I'll do everything in my power to get that weight to 50+.

Ah thanks for the pointer, will definitely check it out!

I've just kind of given up on DIY for the moment -- I used to do really well with that sort of project, in fact, I think I made about half my furniture myself  haha!

But lately, it seems I have a double curse upon me:
Firstly, it is near to impossible to get the materials I want anymore?
And then, all sorts of clumsiness! FINALLY found some CFLs I can actually use -- and I drop them, BOTH, within half an hour whilst setting up the shelf?!?! LMAO
So I've dumped my plans and bought a 2x55w fixture with those u-shaped cfl tubes
Judging by your PC box there, it should be enough though, even though now I don't really know the light spectrum I'm giving them (beyond "kinda blueish" haha).

grand total of... fuck all.
For a sec, I thought you'd smoked it all up whilst weighing there :p

Well 23g -- that would keep me for 4 months, so, not bad!
And don't forget the trimmings!
It definitely is looking very yummy!! :bigjoint:
