Yeah overall they look decent enough, so for a blind grow from bagseed im pretty satisfied - harvesting end of Oct so shes only gotta stick it out another 5 or so weeks!

Damn that looks delicious - ive always wondered about those 'Purp' seeds. Ive heard something about low temps at night can cause purpleing or something? Youll have to let me know how she smokes for sure.

Haha for sure man! Yeah some lower temps can cause some purpling and discoloration. Due to the Anthocyanins, being present in the last few weeks before the plants cycle ends, Chlorophyll becomes almost absent near the end and therefore the anthocyanins show more, red-blue and purplish hues are usually the colors associated with it. But some strains of cannabis have ones that don't become real visual unless disturbed by cold weather. But today theres a million different purple" strains.

Well then, another week onwards and not much else to report aside from the flowers are building nicely - some browned tips but it hasn't gotten any worse in a while so i'll assume it was just a blip... Now we move intrepidly onwards to glory!

P.s
Dunno why the photos are so huge

nice cure that bud off and toke it while your shopping for 600w of led to replace that clf

just picture the buds you`ll get, looking at your cfl buds if you don`t step up to induction, led, lec, lep, cmh or hid`s you`ll be ok but I think you could for sure grow some killer buds under some better lights

clearly what you have already done shows your growing skills are worth investing in some new tools :)

Thanks man, I am looking at investing in a new light but my grow space atm is only really enough for one big girl so don't wanna go overkill on the wattage. I've been looking at MarsHydro 300w LEDs which do look quite tempting...

Shop around find an led that uses 300w not that claims to be 300w normally to use 300w they claim its 900w to 1600w but they only draw 300 to 500w most of the time

Maybe hunt down a 200w to 400w induction lamp if you wanna stick to tube lamps

or cob leds are kicking ass atm with 100w+ even 1000w+ chip sizes and cheap drivers all over the place its very easy to diy your own lights now days and they will achieve Hid level yields some people are killing hids

but used or "still boxed" lights are cheap and easy to find loads of people get the gear together and then can`t grow so will sell the lights and stuff cheap or swap them for bud, win win for anyone looking for a bargain

My main problem with switching lighting setups is the space i'm growing in can't really be modified to fit a suitable exhaust so heat would be a problem if I upped my lighting game.

I've been thinking of either going for either a 250/400w HPS dependant on the heat output, or possibly just adding another 100w CFL for sidelighting - only time will tell I suppose.

Hey folks,

No new photos right now but I just had a quick question - do any of y'all think it'd be beneficial in anyway to cut off all the shitty small growth at the bottom of the plant for the last 3 weeks of flowering? As far as i'm aware lollipopping is meant to be done in veg or whatever but I can't help but think those tiny little bitches are stealing my plants precious energy.

I do if for no other reason than to help out air circulation. The last thing on earth you want is to provide ANY space where mold could start up...and a bit of moisture under some dead, crumpled up leaves is a perfect place for it to start.

Don't get lazy towards the end man. Just don't do it.

Cool, the airflow in the wardrobe is pretty sweet so ill probably leave her as she is.

Haha no laziness here amigo, she's pottering along nicely so I'm just hoping for a uneventful final 3 weeks.

Thanks buddy, think i'm going to top & lst my next grow to keep it short n wide, gotta utilize those precious lumens.
With cfl I'd advise a scrog, you really can pull as much yeild as possible per watt. Looks like your doing great though, I've also learned that sometimes it's better to have a few smaller cfls (55w) dispersed through the the cab to even out lighting rather than one very large bulb. If your Temps are good you could definitely just use that large bulb and supplement around the sides of the plant with smaller ones. Good luck though! Can't wait to see her finnish
