First grow advice!

Hello All,

Just wanted to post some pics of my first grow and get any advice or opinions.

I noticed some heat stress yesterday because for whatever reason my exhaust fan turned off. Problem resolved now though.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

4x4 Grow tent
2 x 300W Viparspectra LED Grow Lights
Currently about 16 inches from light
Temps averaging around 78 during lights on dropping to about 65 at lights out.
Humidty kind of low at 39-42 (that is with a humidifier in the tent. Low 30's without.
Using 18/6 light cycle and very light nutrients
Using Black Magic Potting Soil
Watering maybe 2 times a week

Not sure to be honest.

Got a few seeds from a friend who said they were OG Kush. And I had a few already so I just decided to see what would germinate. 8 of them did so I going from there.

Hoping most are female. Fingers crossed...

Good luck with the grow! I am on my second grow and will be cloning and starting new strains till I find what I like......and hope to learn more "what NOT to do's" along the way

Any advice you can share on the "What NOT to do's" list that you ran into on your first?

The patience that you have to learn with this hobby is I think the hardest lesson to learn thus far...

cheap timers, fucked breaker, crap soil, and getting too high while tending to them. got powdery mildew, spider mites, sprayed them but didn't rinse later before lights on.....leafs didn't like that for sure. Didn't have any type of feeding schedule

My opinion didnt change. Still say good job to you, keep it up. Keep the ph stable and read ur plants, theyll be the first to tell ya when ur slipping

I think things are going good. Still getting bigger. Just switched them over to 12/12 a few days ago.

Here are some current pics. Quite a difference from the above posts. They have grown up quite a bit. Should be able to sex them in another week or so.

Awesome! Whats your feed/water schedule like, whats the concentration of ur solution, and where do u try to keep ur ph at? You are doing pretty well my friend. Keep it up and youll have a blooming jungle in there soon! Oh and i forgot to mention you sold me on that black magic dirt, thats what i think im going to start vegging in..but newho take care, keep us posted!

I don't actually have a water schedule. I check on the plants each day and if the soil is dry I water and if it still seems wet I wait. For the solution I am keeping it low at only about 250 PPM and watering at a PH of 6.8. I am not using any RO water, just right out the tap but my PPM is pretty low at 56 right out the tap. Since the soil had some nutrients in it I did not want to go overboard with the nutrient additions. I figured the plant would tell me if it needed more.

Here are pics from today in natural light. I think the black magic potting soil has done really well. And the fact that I can just run to home depot and grab some more makes it even better.
